For men, Ono Daisuke as Koizumi in Haruhi and Jotaro in JoJo.

I've heard so much about Daisuke Ono's magnificent voice and seen some clips of it, but this season is actually the very first time that I've ever watched an anime with him in a leading role. He's voicing the golem in Somali And The Forest Spirit, and he's been really good in that role. All of his other major roles are either in shows I watched dubbed rather than subbed (Haruhi and JoJo are two of those) or shows I haven't watched at all.

First the half-assed "mention" in the summer 2019 video that seemed to be mocking the fanbase for wanting him to watch the show, and now this video saying that 2019 "didn't have any soundtracks as a whole that really stood out" yet still having a music section that turns into him gushing about Carole & Tuesday and not one single mention of Symphogear.

Scissors Seven is a little off putting in the aspect of it's original audio being Mandarin, but it quickly grew on me.

Does it have an English dub option? The great majority of anime I've seen on Netflix have a dub, but I still feel like it's worth asking.

I officially uninstalled Revue Starlight ReLIVE today (content is coming too slow while the PvP power creep is growing too fast) and I'm also already considering dropping Arknights because I don't feel like I'm getting into it that much. It's just not hooking me. I'm more lenient on franchises that I'm a big fan of (I would have uninstalled ReLIVE a while ago if I wasn't a huge Revue Starlight fan) but gacha games that aren't tied to an existing franchise that I'm already a fan of have to be really good to hook me, and so far, Girls' Frontline has been the only one that managed to do it.

Anyways, I'll give Arknights another week or so, but I don't think I'm going to stick with it. I did already download a ton of fanart (including lewds) from the series though, so it did at least get my attention in that regard.

TMS is generally considered among the worst games in the megaten franchise, even by persona standards. If you like idols, you'll like TMS. But that's all TMS is. It's a shallow idol JRPG that was never supposed to exist. Yes, I'm STILL mad about SMTxFE not being a thing. We could have had a great blend between devil survivor 1-esque gameplay, with FE system mechanics we know and love. What we got was idol persona.

I don't think it was a bad game, but I agree that it was very divisive. I don't have much else to say beyond what I already said in my previous post.

I'm really enjoying them. Obviously I can't compare them to the Japanese versions, but I think all of the English dub VA's have great singing voices, especially Sakura. I've actually heard Sakura's VA, Brina Palencia, sing in English in a different anime even before watching ZLS:

Plus, Junko is voiced by Amanda Lee (AKA AmaLee), that one girl who covers anime songs in English and posts them on Youtube. I've heard some of her covers before, and she has loads of talent. She's been really good as Junko so far, IMO the second-best singing voice being Sakura's.

Episodes 6 and 7 were about the performance at Saga Rock, including Ai and Junko fighting and making up. The revelation that Ai's cause of death was getting struck by lightning in the middle of an outdoor performance on a rainy stage was METAL AS FUCK! Episode 8 was Lily's big episode, including the revelation that Lily was biologically a boy when she was alive but identifies as a girl. I personally think that the whole plot point about her being transgender was actually handled really well. It wasn't too insensitive about the subject but also wasn't too SJW-ish in trying to push a viewpoint too hard.

From the middle of episode 6 to the end of episode 8, Zombie Land Saga just put me through one of the wildest emotional rollercoasters that I've ever been through while watching an anime. I went from happy, to scared, to hyped, to headbanging so hard my neck hurt, to angry, to shocked, to crying actual tears (of joy), and finally being happy again, all in a span of 2 and a half episodes. Thank god I somehow managed to not have any of this spoiled for me in the 15 months I spent waiting for the full English dub instead of just watching it subbed as it aired, because these episodes blew me away.

Also, if anyone's wondering: my current standings after episode 8 have Ai as best girl, with Saki a close second and Sakura in third.

Can honestly say I did not know a Fire Emblem/Shin Megami Tensei crossover game existed.

That's what TMS was originally announced as. But then the first trailer dropped, and it looked much closer to a Persona game but with an "idol anime" paintjob and the ghosts of Fire Emblem characters acting as the characters' personas. It turned off a lot of the fans who were expecting a more straightforward crossover, but some (like myself) found the new direction the game went in really endearing and enjoyable. If you're expecting a game that plays like a combination of SMT or FE, then you won't find it. But if you're looking for a new experience that takes elements from both of those franchises but works them into its own unique identity, then TMS is worth trying out.

The Switch port (it was originally released on the Wii U when that system was already on its way downhill) came out a couple of days ago and has already sold pretty well. The TMS characters being added to Fire Emblem Heroes was partly to drum up hype for this re-release.

Uwasa Tsuruno was added to Magia Record today as a rare example of a limited 3-star character. She's limited in the sense that you can only pull for her during this banner. However, due to her being a 3-star by default and not a 4-star, her rates are better than a 4-star, plus you'll always be able to buy her destiny gems (to unlock memoir slots) using magia chips or destiny bottles after you pull her the first time, even beyond the time this event ends. So I thought to myself: "Since she has the rates of a 3-star and I only need to pull one copy of her to be able to max her out, I may as well try and get her, right? It'll only take a couple of 10-pulls, right? Her rates are high enough that I'll get her pretty quick, right?" Next thing I know, my entire stash of Madokami savings is completely gone and I've failed to get Uwasa Tsuruno after 155 pulls. I took the bait, and I lost it all.

It may be easier and quicker to re-roll, but I'm certainly not having any luck in my attempts. I still haven't managed to get any of the ones I want (not even the 5-star ones) to show up at all, yet I've managed to pull Hoshiguma (a 6-star whose design I don't like at all) a whopping 8 times now.

If I can't get a good roll by the end of the day today, I'm giving up and just not going to bother with the game.

So yeah, I definitely want Exusiai. I looked through the character list, and the others that caught my eye were Saria (another 6-star), Platinum and Skyfire (both 5-stars). Since the re-roll guide says that Saria isn't available in the tutorial rolls, I'll just have to hope I get her later on. So my goal is to roll for Exusiai and one (preferably Skyfire since Platinum plays the same role as Exusiai, according to the tier list) of those 5-stars.
