I guess this wasn't explicitly stated, but I always sort of thought that freezing Han in carbonite was an untested, one-time thing the Emperor did as improvisation, not a standard method of prisoner transport.

there's no reason you can't make ice zombies compelling, or that you can't come up with compelling scenarios around dealing with them even if they aren't.

You could give the main ice zombie more characterization than 'smiles one time.'

Yeah I have a board project I'm going to get started on soon that's basically a "best of the 2010s" list. It seems blasphemous to not include Game of Thrones as one of the best TV shows of the decade, but it's really hard to justify when the show only had 3 truly great seasons (at most).

1-3 are fantastic
4-5 are mostly solid
6 shows a lot of problems
7 and 8 are lol

Does anyone disagree? It's the part with the most personal stakes for Goku, Frieza himself is the best villain in the series, it has the only story power-up that actually matters from an emotional perspective, all of the deaths matter and are impactful, all of the minor villains are memorable, and Vegeta's character journey from evil jerk to slightly less evil jerk really works. Not to say that Cell is bad, it has a lot of really good elements.

Buu is bad, though.

Littlefinger's end was emblematic of the show's descent for me, even if it happened after the show's downslide. Could anything be more symbolic than killing the last remaining politics character so they can focus on the ice zombies, which are the least interesting aspect of the story?

OTOH, if you look at the story of Diablo II, was that really any better? I mean, it didn't have obvious characters acting obvious, but that's because it simply didn't have characters. The NPCs in the game were merely conduits for the gameplay.

I'd say a weak story is better than a painful one.

Most of the movie is merely bad, but the ending is bonkers. Like half of the forest creatures die when the evil queen invites everyone to a wedding that's really a front so her androgynous evil soldier can play an organ that shoots out pumpkin bombs laced with WWI-esque poison gas while she makes orgasm faces the entire time (she's defeated when she falls off of a twenty foot tall balcony and the camera cuts away, so it's not even clear if she dies), and one of the main fairies just plain explodes. Then they defeat the queen and actually have the wedding, and everyone is happy and stuff even though thousands of people are dead, the queen is turned into a goat and everyone laughs like the end of a 90s sitcom episode, and I couldn't tell if this was meant to be a joke or not.

+11 int is quite a bit for having that much spell damage, for most slots it's worthwhile to take an item with +20-30 spell damage with literally no other stats over other items that are +int +stam + spirit but no or low spell damage

Robe of the Archmage is better, of course, but you need 300 tailoring and the pattern to craft it and it's BOP and very expensive.

Yeah, I may go for it. I tried to farm some Essence of Water to save myself 80g in materials, but the entire area where the only mob that drops it is always camped by others.

I'm just not sure about Robe of Winter Night. +40 frost damage is great, but +11 int is weak, and it has nothing else.

The Magisters set isn't good, unfortunately

Spell damage is the best, and some slots the best item you can get is just +frost damage

If you are a tailor you probably have Robe of Power already, and Robe of the Archmage is the best chest you can get, but if you aren't a tailor then Robe of Winter Night is really good. Also if you never did the level 30 quest from TAbetha in Dustwallow Marsh that leads to the Icefury Wand you should probably do that.

I have the wand and a bunch of +frost or +spell greens and blues, but I'm always hurting for more mana, is the thing.

Just hit 54 on my mage. Just before I did, I got a pair of gloves that are better than the Magister's Gloves I bought in advance, but not if the Magister's Gloves give me a 4-set bonus - which I don't yet have. So I'm keeping the current gloves until I get another piece of equipment, probably around 60.
