If they're smart what they would do is take the wireless charging coils being used in those "disc" phone chargers are coil them around each cupholder and any tray area under the radio, so that your wireless charging devices just passive charge no matter what spot you put them, which would include your keys and also your phone, earbuds, etc.

My car already has a slot you slide the key fob into to store it while driving. All you really need to do at that point is have it insert into a charger in that slot.
