The key words are while in office. This is correct that a sitting President cannot be prosecuted for any crime, but he can still be charged and have the case held for prosecution after he leaves office. This is done so that a dissatisfied person cannot simply make up a story that the President murdered his puppy and have the President unable to perform his duties as Commander in Chief while locked up behind bars.

There are countless crazy things proposed to be laws, which is why it's only worth examining the things that either are laws or stand a very good chance of passing. A lot of the other proposed laws are just publicity stunts, like that one legislator who wanted to make a law requiring men swear on a Bible to only use viagra when having sex with their spouse.

The thing is this has a real chance of becoming law, which is why its in the news now. Its just that if it passes its almost certain to be shot down in court.

Today a bill is appearing before the Massachusetts Joint Committee on the Judiciary that proposes to expand the definition of an already existing legislation which defines disorderly conduct. This law, if passed, would add using the word bitch, when used to accost, annoy, degrade or demean another person, to the list of disorderly conduct that would result in criminal punishment.

If passed using the word bitch would result in a fine of $150 for a first offense and $200 or six months in prison for a repeat offense. Victims or witnesses would be allowed to report the crime to law enforcement.

Charging men more doesnt solve any perceived pay gap, paying women the same as men for the same work does. This is usually the case and as a rule the pay gap is a myth since they are using the states average male to female pay gap instead of actual wages for any particular job performed, where gender based discrimination is already illegal.

To truly allow something to happen requires both the act to happen as well as you choosing not to try and stop it. Otherwise you're just stuck at would have allowed it to happen.

The people starving now are starving not because there isn't enough food in the world for them, but because the food that is in the world isn't reaching them. With better organization, there's no reason the world couldn't support significantly more people, especially once we start developing vertical farming technologies (e.g. hydroponics, aeroponics) and viable lab meat.

Hypothetically, the entire population of the world could fit into Texas, with a population density about 5-10% higher than that of Manhattan (if I'm remembering the math I did a while ago correctly). Having such a high population density over such a large area creates some logistical challenges that you don't see when it's a much smaller area, of course, meaning living in such a megalopolis would be very different from living in Manhattan, but it wouldn't be impossible.

This guy did his best to follow the rules. He wasn't being a jack ass, which is what this rule is clearly there to stop. That was very excessive punishment on him. Why is it his fault the other team sucked so bad they couldn't stop inferior players? His fault a child ignored him in the midst of a game?

Ahh so this is the shit my mother pulled on me to get me drugged out of my mind as a kid. She would often take me to the doctors and psychiatrists offices and tell me not to utter a word and then proceed to tell them that there was something wrong with me because I wasnt talking.

One time I was so drugged up I forgot the whole plan and when she tried to get me to talk in front of the psychiatrist I did. She beat the shit out of me afterwards for that.
