But if we can take steps to lessen the burden from that change, I feel it should be allowed.

I've known women who have gone through an abortion, and nobody likes it. Nobody gets pregnant and says "Sick! I get to have an abortion!" It's obviously an emotional process where the women have a lot of worries and doubts. Society isn't helping either, with the stigma put on it. They'd rather not have to make that choice at all, but every one of them was grateful it was available to them and became better people as a result, and in most cases mothers themselves later on.

I'm pro-choice, personally. I think attempts to regulate sexuality are a dead end. They don't work, and they've never worked.

I'm absolutely for the need for fewer abortions, which can be accomplished through easier access to education, healthcare, and contraceptive, but none of these are 100% foolproof.

Like what do you tell someone who used birth control and ended up in the unlucky percentage? Sucks to be you?

I don't think knowledge of white privilege should be a "battle". It's an education effort, for people to realize that what you look like can have an effect on how society treats you.

And this knowledge is not for people of color. They already know about it and grew up in it. The knowledge is for white folks who ask "why do black people have so many problems with the police" or "why can't that black person become rich like me".

It's not ammo in a fight. It's a teaching moment. I disagree that it's an effort to "quell the masses".
