I guess this part was weird. It's weird that Kanon survived long enough to be moved, but then it was all for nothing anyway. You say Nanjo was covered in blood...? I wonder if it's relevant.

If you want, that scene might be worth rereading/watching. Once Arria gets to the point you're at, I plan to have her rewatch this part lol.

Fifth twilight was Kanon
Kanon heard a noise in the boiler room and ran to investigate. Kumasawa followed him, but she couldnt keep up
The boiler room had two entrances one to the mansion, another to the courtyard
Kanon screamed into the darkness, held up a hatchet, then froze and fell to the ground
Kumasawa found him and yelled for everyone else
It was dark and they couldnt see Kanon very well to confirm his body/death, so Battler looked for a flashlight
Battler shined a light in the darkness and saw the other door to the courtyard was open as if someone had left in a hurry
Battler ran outside to chase the culprit
Natsuhi ran after Battler so that he wouldnt be alone
When they returned to the boiler room, they were told that Nanjo and George moved Kanons body to the servant room. Kumasawa and Jessica accompanied them. Nanjo tried to heal him, but couldnt do anything. When they next found Nanjo, he was covered in blood.
The stake had fallen to the ground before they moved Kanon. It laid in a pile of blood

Red truth:

All of the survivors have alibis! Let us include the dead as well!! In short, no kind of human or dead person on the island could have killed Kanon!
Kanon did not commit suicide
Kanon did not die in an accident!

Sixth, seventh, and eighth twilights were Genji, Kumasawa, and Nanjo
Natsuhi kicked out Genji, Kumasawa, Nanjo, and Maria from Kinzos study because she was suspicious of them planting a letter.
They went into a parlor room
Later, Natsuhis group heard the phone ring
Maria was singing from a distance on the other end of the line
They rushed to the parlor with weapons
The door was locked, but Natsuhi had the key on her
When they entered, Maria was facing the wall, singing. Genji, Kumasawa, and Nanjo were dead with stakes in their bodies.

Red truth:

Maria, who was in the same room, did not kill them!
And of course, the three were killed by other people!
Genji, Kumasawa, and Nanjo are not killers.

Ninth twilight
Natsuhi read the letter in the parlor, then left secretly and locked the cousins in the parlor room
Natsuhi went to the entrance hall in front of Beatrices portrait. She raised her gun.
Battler smashed the door open
The cousins heard a single gunshot
They found Natsuhi dead in the entrance hall
When the police came to investigate, they never found the corpses of the children, but they found body parts and were able to identify Marias jaw/teeth thanks to dental records

Red truth:

Natsuhi was killed by another person!
There are no unidentified corpses, and all of the survivors have alibis!
The bullet buried into Natsuhi's forehead was not fired from Natsuhi's gun!
The thing that shot Natsuhi wasn't a trap, it was a real shooting murder with a gun raised and trigger pulled!

Also, I hope no one bitches at me for posting this. Like... I don't want to spoil you or anything, and these notes are as spoiler-free as I can possibly make them. I don't expect you to remember every little detail regarding scenes you read months ago, but some people might get their panties in a twist about it.

SUMMARY AND NOTES FOR EPISODE 1 MURDERS AND MYSTERIES

The first twilight was Krauss, Rudolf, Kyrie, Rosa, Gohda, and Shannon
Krauss, Rudolf, Kyrie, and Rosa were in the dining room at midnight.
Gohda and Shannon were assigned to work in the mansion that night (other servants were asleep or in the guesthouse).
Kanon saw the magic circle on the shed in the morning, then went to get others before opening it
Kanon, Genji, Eva, and Hideyoshi were the first to find the corpses.
Genji left to get Nanjo. The kids followed when they realized some shit was going down.
Rudolf, Kyrie, Rosa, and Gohda had their faces completely smashed.
Krauss and Shannon had their faces half-smashed.
Nanjo investigated the bodies of Krauss, Rudolf, Kyrie, Rosa, and Gohda. He confirmed they died about six hours ago (midnight).
Hideyoshi and Kanon investigated Shannons corpse which was hidden behind some stuff. Hideyoshi told George that Shannon wore her engagement ring.

Red truth:

Regarding the unidentified corpses, all of their identities are guaranteed. Therefore, no body double tricks exist!

The second twilight was Eva and Hideyoshi
They went to their room in the mansion. It was a room used for guests before the guesthouse was built. It had a bedroom and bathroom
They locked the door
Genji and Kanon went to talk to Eva and Hideyoshi
They found a letter from Beatrice inserted under the door
Genji almost opened the door with his key, but stopped because Kanon thought it would be rude for a servant to do so
They opened it anyway, only for the chain to be set. It could not have been set from the outside
Genji left to get Natsuhi. Kanon left to get something he could break the chain with
Kumasawa followed Kanon back to the room when he went to cut the chain
When they arrived, the door had blood markings on it
Kanon broke the chain and entered the room first. Kumasawa followed
Eva was on her bed (still wearing shoes). Stake was in her forehead
Hideyoshi was in the shower with the stake in his forehead
Genji arrived with Nanjo and Natsuhi
Nanjo confirmed their deaths, saying it happened within the hour and that the weapon looked unfeasible.
The cousins arrived a bit later
Battler saw the corpses

Red truth:

Both were killed by another person!
It is not the case that, after the construction of the closed room, one of them committed suicide after committing murder!
Furthermore, the murder was carried out with both the victim and the perpetrator in the same room!
No method exists for the perpetrator to commit murder from outside the room!

Ep 4 is pretty hard to rank due to the reasons you listed. Sometimes I rank it as a whole, sometimes I unashamedly rank the first part and second part separately. When I was doing my reread, I was sorta dreading Ep 4 because I remembered it being painful the first time, but it was actually tolerable the second time around.

I feel like Gen V was exactly the game I needed at the time it came out, but if it came out today, I would hate it. I had grown tired of Pokemon after Gen IV and a large part of that was because it seemed that game wanted you to reuse Pokemon you had already used (in Pearl, if I wanted a decent Fire type, it had to be Ponyta, and if I wanted a good psychic type, it had to be Abra or Ralts.) So when Gen V came along and forced all new Pokemon on you, I was thrilled. And for what it's worth, I think a lot of Gen V's Pokemon are great and have good designs.

But now with the way GTS is set up, if I want to play through a game* with a specific team of Pokemon that aren't available until late game, or at all, I can still do so.

*Obviously with the Pokedex reductions in Sword and Shield, this won't be the case with those two games.

Biggest bait and switch for me is probably Gakkou Gurashi, although I went into it knowing about the twist (I wouldn't have had any interest in it otherwise).

Narutaru had something of an unintentional bait and switch because the animators of the anime OP thought the show was some kind of cute and kid-friendly Pokemon knock-off. Though it was never the author's intention to deceive the audience.

The scene changes to Erika making duct tape seals and Dlanor. She saw the first time Erika has her sprite of holding duct tape. I thought it appeared later, but okay. I then shared with her a story of how my work badge was falling apart and I had the thought of I am an Erika. What would an Erika use? Duct tape! so I just duct taped my badge back together.

Erika confesses her love to Dlanor
A: Is she looking in a mirror?

A: Did Featherine just put a monologue in her story?
K: I like to imagine this as Featherine writing Berkastel deciding to write a background for her OC.

During the scene, Arria is mostly quiet. At the end she just says I love Dlanor, but that was creepy. It was a whole bunch of I love you! yeah, well prove that you love me!"

Tough question. I usually quit reading/watching/playing something if it doesn't hold my interest anymore. I guess I'll say School Days, since it was torture up until the satisfying finale. I knew what the ending was about; I only suffered through the whole series to enjoy the ending.

Yami no Matsuei is pretty bad in hindsight, but it was one of the first anime I watched not counting stuff I watched as a kid when I didn't know the difference between anime and cartoons. Muraki was one of my first bishounen crushes. Also Hisoka is voiced by Liam O'Brien in the English dub and it was my first exposure to him (I have a crush on his voice lol).

When I was a kid watching the Pokemon anime, my grandfather walked in and asked how Hitmonlee can eat without a mouth, then suggested that he stuffs food up his butt. This was the first time in my life I had considered that the digestive system is basically one long tube from mouth to butt. Ever since then, whenever I see a Hitmonlee, that is all I can think about. Sorry, Hitmonlee, you were ruined by my grandfather.

I loved Octopath Traveler for the 80 or so hours I played of it... and then I got to the "true final boss" and it/the dungeon before was such an overall bad experience that it ruined the whole game for me. I'd probably still have a high opinion of the game if I'd quit before then.

I buy tons of games on Steam sales/humble bundle, no regrets. I may not beat them any time soon, but I like knowing they're there in case the mood strikes me.

I love The Ancient Magus's Bride so much. I like the slower pace it takes, and the episodic adventures. You may have watched the OVA, btw, which came out before the anime but starts further in (and then consists of flashback sequences before the series).

I looked that issue more since I mentioned it, and I think it's only clearly visible in certain versions. Some others cut the screen so you either can't see it at all or just see a small part of it. And of course, if you're using the original backgrounds, you can't make out anything.

It's just in the beginning there was WAYYY more high school kids who dated each other and had drama and it was really annoying.

Nope. Was just a lowly scribe, but I'm out now. I was just using it as a stepping stone to get into other lab/medical-related fields. Now I'm in my ideal job as a lab tech at a blood bank.

The more I think about Wooloo, the more I love it. The only other Normal line I've liked is the Lillipup line. I doubt Wooloo and its evos will be good enough to go to the Elite Four, but damn it, I'll at least use it at the beginning!

Two Beatrices appear
Furfur says well theres two of us, so why not two Beatrices ever now and then?
A: I went into this scene thinking Im going to analyze this and now my brain is just what the happy fuck is this?

I love how the Beatrices claim they are the same person. Like youre also the same person with Shannon and Kanon! But I guess in this case, its a matter of theyre the same person who loves the same person.

A: Im with Jessica again. Id be thinking damn Kanon, if Id known about this before I started dating you, Id have second thoughts
A: Can you imagine any of these couples telling their grandkids about this one day?

I then told her a story about how one time, before Umineko came out, I was researching Goetia demons (it was an interest after Persona 3 came out), and I had the thought of no one will ever name a fictional demon after Furfur, unless its a furry. Well, I was wrong.

She opens up their profiles, and says she loves Zepars purple rose on his/her leg and stockings/shoes. We talk about how we like their design, but not the coloration. She thinks if Zepar had purple hair, s/he would be perfect. And Furfurs coloration is just awful all over. I said Id like to see one with red/pink coloration, although that might be too Gaap-ish.

K: Also, my headcanon is that Zepar is a girl and Furfur is a boy, just because their voices make you think the other way
A: Alternatively, it just says a different gender. It could be like, one is a hermaphrodite, and the other has no genitals. Or maybe theyre some fantasy-gender.
K: True! And thats of course not getting into the differences between sex and gender.

Maria is around the same age, so it shouldn't be that long ago, yet the witches are very different here compared to the rest of Umineko.

Yeah, the first time I read Umineko, I didn't bother trying to keep the timelines straight.

Everything made more sense the second time, but for now, don't worry about it.

Battler says he could mold the new Beatrice however he wants, and he harkens back to the scene where Beatrice stripped him naked and walked him on a leash, saying he can do that to her now.

The two copies per person is by edition. So you can buy 2 copies of the PS4 game, PS4 CE, Vita game, and Vita CE if you really wanted to.

Thanks. I'll try to snag either version for Vita. I dunno what I'll do with my PS4 versions. Maybe give them to someone who missed out.
