Minimum wage is terrible idea and it needs to be abolished any ways. Since I've been here in San Francisco I have seen the bus pass go from $65 to $95 a month, restaurants thats not a chain raised prices to compensate, a Mexican corn went from $2 to $3, a taco went from $1.25 to $2 and every raise is due to the minimum wage going up. I don't even have to remember when we get a raise in minimum wage I just know when all of a sudden prices increase everywhere.

It's the same struggle with a higher paycheck. I'm not getting anywhere and it's a never ending circle. I've worked hard to differentiate my worth to get paid more than minimum wage, but now that minimum wage is increasing my job is giving us less hours to schedule more people so we are doing more with less hands increasing the stress load to the point where its not even worth it. I would much rather go back to having a less wage with more people on deck.

I would have been ok with the idea of ignorance if she didn't couple it in with the n-word. If I were in your shoes I would have probably done the same thing. In the real world, you shouldn't act like you have no sense by cussing and screaming at her calling her a racist. I think you handled it well. When she tries that bs again I would continue to correct her though.

I'd also try to see where your gfs head is at because you probably wouldn't realise if she's a racists also since you're not on the receiving end of it, but could you imagine if you had a kid by her and she tells your kids she can't date black people or you can only "date" them but they can't date them? Yeah, Long Beach is chill and want to move back. It's like a cheaper version of San Diego, but my fiance wants to move to SD since her family is out there. The bay is nice but I wouldn't raise a family there.

I'm open about my pay with my coworkers. I feel everybody should be transparent. I'm not the person to get jealous though. If you make more money than I do then fuck it, oh well, but not everybody is like that.

It was probably a blessing in disguise tbh. If they were willing to pay you that much more then everybody else they probably would have put a huge work load on you.
