Mostly misunderstood by the people who decided to turn one relatively short book into a series of three movies.

When you're stretching a story that is shorter than the shortest volume of The Lord of the Rings to be as long (or longer) than those three books combined, you dun goofed son.

lord of the rings is technically one book. it was intended to be one book, but a friend convinced tolkien people wouldn't read a book that long. it's seperated, but the page numbers still continue right where they left off

I dont mind working, but for goodness sake, the standard work day needs to be five or six hours (with wages / salaries adjusted, of course).

I know its supposed to be eight hours of sleep, eight hours of work, eight hours of your own time, but that eight hours of work doesnt take into account people who dont get paid for their lunch breaks (like, I have to work an eight and a half hour day because I dont get paid for my half hour lunch), the commute, the time it takes to get ready, etc. so when you really look at it, we spend so much time working and sleeping rather than really living that its disgusting. Especially for poor saps like me who have to do this six days a week.

Not in San Antonio. Amazon is on the truck and they delivery person wears a safety vest thing that has Amazon all over it.

i work at an amazon, they contract out. some vans are the newer ones that say amazon, some are the old. they give the drivers vests because it's a uniform

Once the package leaves Amazon, it's out of Amazons control. If anything happens to it after that, it's on whatever shipping company they use.

I figured this would be common knowledge in 2019, but then this topic happened.

if a package leaves the warehouse but doesn't get delivered, it goes back to the warehouse that same day.

He likely just didn't understand the politics when he watched the movies as a kid, and hasn't really gone back and rewatched them with a critical eye since.

Just like most of the people in my generation who watched the original movies didn't quite pick up on the fact that the Empire were blatantly Space Nazis and the Ewoks were mostly included as a commentary on innocents getting killed in the crossfire of other people's wars.
