i'm listening to different volumes of white noise that are allotted actual track titles by this artist, and i previously listened to an eight minute long 911 call by the same artist that layered white noise over it at times.

It's got a good ways to go before it becomes polished enough for a buy, IMO. Played the demo yesterday and it's pretty painful. That said, I have nothing but high hopes for this one.

I plan on switching out my old 3DS XL for a newer model, and since the New 2DS apparently has the same hardware specs as the New 3DS along with the additional pad for camera movement and whatnot - along with it being cheaper, this is the model I'm targeting.

Thing is, I haven't found any research on whether or not a 3DS XL can transfer data to the New 2DS XL. Has anybody else here have experiences with this? This is probably the one thing holding me back from purchasing it, if I can't transfer data. Thanks!!

The campaign is fine, but it has next to no exploration in the postgame if that's your jam. No legendaries, no extra areas, nothing.
You have the battle tower like every game, and max raids in the wild area. That's your postgame.

So yeah, they're good but very lacking in content, not worth $60 IMO.

Ah. Well, it sounds like Pokemon then. Release a new entry in the series, and then release a fuller, more content packed version a year or two later.

Catch lots of pokemon as you go; you're gonna need more than a few in your PC to unlock full Poke Pelago functionality. Catching PC fodder as you go will mean less grinding later.

Also, play the Mystery Dungeon spinoffs. Every Pokemon fan should play those games tbh.

It's been roughly six years since my last Pokemon game, with Y, and honestly? I'm having a blast. I was definitely ready for a new Pokemon adventure, and even though I'm still on the first island and haven't even challenged any of the captains, let alone the first Kahuna, I'm really enjoying all the new features and culture.

I'm so glad I made the purchase when I did. Anybody got any tips? :o

Sympathy requires some level of self awareness on the part of those wishing it. This topic is full of the usual "wha wha you don't understand how hard I have it" that come from people not wanting to fully admit some mistakes were made.

Nobody outside of years and years of hard addiction, or someone that has watched a loved one painstakingly go through it in real time over said years, has such a thing because nobody wants to believe they're an addict. That sort of thing comes around at the end, when after losing friends, family, health, housing do they come to that point where it's literally either keep going until you die or really make a change. Really, really make a change - not just a stint in rehab, not just going through an intervention. These people literally have to have lost virtually e v e r y t h i n g before they are able to quit, or die trying.

People make mistakes. Sometimes, those mistakes cost us years and years of our lives. Sometimes they cost our lives, period. Generalizing it to just a "rough patch," in the same way one that doesn't understand depression equates it to being "feeling sad a time or two," is incredibly narrow minded and misinformed.

A 1 out of 1000 chance scenario. I have sympathy for people in certain scenarios but not all. Most people I know that got into drugs was from a party lifestyle. Or aka they just wanted to have some fun.

But this topic is about ODs unless someone fucked up whether it be your doctor or you. You should not be ODing on prescribed meds.

It still happens, though. That's what I'm trying to stress. I'm also trying to stress that addiction is a lot more complicated and layered than simply "i want to get fucked out of my mind, dude xd." Not to mention ODing can happen if you're not even addicted, and just happened to be at a party where some trashbag of a life-form fucked you over because he thought it would be 'funny' to see what would happen by increasing the potency a little too much.

The thing about addiction is that almost nobody that does suffer from it ever believes it will happen to them, because society is so loose about it. A drink here, a hit there, a toke there, but the consequences are never necessarily addressed because friends, co-workers, loved ones, etc. are there to take your mind off of how dangerous it is. You're having fun with your friends, or whatever, how bad could it really be? And then they find themselves all alone, at 3 in the morning in the bathroom of some stranger's house that an acquaintance was a roommate of in college, taking a hit after just spending the light bill money on it.

Does a significant portion of ODs happen to people who got addicted by involuntary use? As in, somebody tied them down and injected them?

As anything in real life, addiction is a fair bit more complicated than simply "I want to engage in this possibly illegal act that will continue to harm my body, my brain, in addition to placing more strain and stress on my loved ones and friends and depleting my finances, rendering me unable to sustain both a stable life and my addiction."

But, to address your gross ignorance, yes, involuntary addiction actually can happen - believe it or not. Case in point, I'm physically addicted to opioids but not because I wanted this to happen. My oncologist and myself couldn't understand at the time why I was having such severe bouts of pain associated with partial bowel obstruction, until some time well later after the fact when I, on my own accord, managed to link together the side effects of certain medications that were working in tandem to undermine my own bowel system. And I'd like to add that nobody in my care team, not my oncologist nor nurse practitioner nor case manager, were able to link these circumstances together to effectively prevent what could have been a totally preventable outcome. All they knew to do was throw more pain medication at the problem.

I didn't ask to be physically addicted to pain meds. I didn't ask to have to wear a fentanyl patch every day, or suffer debilitating withdrawals. But now I have to if I want to have a stable life while battling metastatic colon cancer and trying to prevent said pain medication from increasing any further all the while still dealing and living with chronic pain stemming from the main tumor in my lower sigmoid colon.

agreed, to an extent. it's obvious his image has been utterly wrecked, but the woman in question deserves some sort of compensation and/or he deserves some form of punishment. not death, but either fines or time or both.

i think some of the more incendiary comments the dude has received are a bit outlandish (see 'hang him,' etc.), but i have nothing but contempt and spite for what he did. the guy absolutely knows better, and he's both a christian and a role model. that behavior is not okay, at all, and the blowback he's receiving at large from the online community is understandable if not warranted.

as a christian, i can't help but feel utter disappointment.
