I think the "dark age of the law" bit is hard to get behind though. Especially when it seemed to have an entirely different reason for existing in AA4. But even more than that...wasn't Edgeworth known for using fabricated evidence in the first game? Wasn't von Karma a prosecutor that went to jail? Heck even the police chief took a fall for corruption but people weren't talking about mistrusting the system then! --- |

I appreciate they tried something new with that kind of character as the big bad, but it also didn't give me many feelings beyond shock. Athena and Simon were cool with me. I guess I can see people getting annoyed with Athena's inconvenient passing out at the worst times but I really don't mind the convolution when it leads to interesting debates and puzzles in trial. Like even if this was my least favorite game so far it still wouldn't be too far under 2 and 4. I wish they could recapture some of the greatness of the von Karma and Godot arcs though. They really had it all and turned the AA concept into something better than just good. At this rate I guess I don't see that happening again. Will probably get around to the DLC case within the next few weeks or months, and then I guess there's just 1 more game to go! --- |
