Oakland Raiders
Detroit Lions
Baltimore Ravens
Buffalo Bills
Kansas City Chiefs
New Orleans Saints
New York Giants
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Indianapolis Colts
Carolina Panthers
Los Angeles Rams
Dallas Cowboys
San Francisco 49ers

Giants are somehow clearly the better team despite being a bottom 5 team themselves.

Why does anyone think the Jets or Dolphins are worse than the Bengals?

The Jets beat the Cowboys who might make the NFC Championship, and the Dolphins have had bouts with competentcy this year for moments.

I have seen nothing from Cincy at all giving me similar ideas.

The Bengals schedule has been disastrously bad.

And the Jets beat the Cowboys because they were spotted an 18 point lead off of several mistakes by Dallas, then still had to hold on for dear life.

I think the Bengals are a fair bit better than the Jets, Dolphins, and Washington. They'll beat both the Jets and the Dolphins. Add taking one of two from Cleveland and you'll have a 3-13 team that's better than their record suggests.

The Bengals almost won at Seattle (Failed a 4th and 1 that would've won the game, up by a point) and at Buffalo. They lost to the Cardinals (the worst team they've played at home all year and the worst until the Jets in week 13) at home by a last second field goal. Dalton's implosion cost them the game at Jacksonville. They've been competitive in most of their games.

This is a team that can be 0-11 if they lose to the Raiders because of their godawful schedule. Then they'll play the Jets, and they'll be favored. If the spread was 7, I would take them and give them the points.

Watch them ruin Oakland or something that's a very Raiders thing to do

2-14 though will at worst tie for the worst record I think. Bengals are probably winning 3 of their last 5 even if they're winless now.

And frankly this isn't all on the O Line. Sam's red zone vision are decision making are terrible. If anything he's regressing.

We're one week into the Jets 6-game stretch of facing Dolphins x2, Giants, Washington, Raiders, and Bengals. A 6-game stretch where, entering the week, their opponents had a total of 6 wins combined. A stretch where it is very reasonable to think they will go 0-6.

Vinny shanks the kick, Vikings give up third and ultra long to lose at the end

Yep called it

Also the Jets ended any debate about it. They are the worst team in the NFL. They're at best years away from being competent and if Darnold was actually supposed to be good they're going to ruin him.

Just didn't have the balls to pick an 0-7 team.

The Dolphins even traded Drake to try to tank even harder and the Jets barely made the game competitive.

How did the Cowboys lose to this

The most certain thing about this team is if they get inside the opponent's 5 yard line, Darnold will throw a pick if you give him the ball.

This week is weird. It looks hard on paper, but there's only one game I am particularly torn on at all. Of course this means I am about to go 6-8 with four teams choking at the wire or something.

The Ravens are the closest thing to being built to beat the Patriots at the very least in the AFC as it currently stands... Except the Patriots are 8-0 and Belichick is a newbie killer.

I'm seriously thinking that if they get out of this game with a W, this team has a high chance to notch another 16-0 regular season, albeit more quietly than the super offense Patriots of 2007. This later snowballs into being 18-0 heading into the Super Bowl, again.

So basically this is the one game all season I'm entertaining picking against this team. Part of the problem is the AFC itself this season: The Saints, 49ers, and Packers are at minimum clearly better than any team in the AFC bar the Patriots, who wouldn't play any of them until the Super Bowl. The best NFC teams they play in the regular season are... The Cowboys and the Eagles.

Also of note: 4 times in the Super Bowl era before this season has a team from both conferences started 6-0 or better. Those teams have met in the Super Bowl all four times.

Patriots now have 8 wins.

If you exclude the Bills from their opponents, the other seven teams they've faced have nine wins combined. Through half of the season. Seven opponents (Jets were played twice so I counted their one win twice), through a combined 49 games, have nine wins. (Steelers and Dolphins play each other tomorrow so that will go up to 10 wins regardless of what happens afterwards but still).

That is almost an impossibly easy schedule. Patriots obviously have a ton of skilled players and are a very good team, but I cannot believe their luck through the first half of the season.

The Bills 5 wins were against teams with 6 wins combined entering this week

Though speaking of the Jets, Osemele's damage was "significantly worse" than anticipated before the surgery, and they're still raining hell on a backup who was basically physically incapable of playing.

Now they're claiming it was a pre-existing injury and it's not their problem, except if it was a pre-existing injury the level of incompetence required to both completely miss it and pass him on the physical is staggering.

What the hell is wrong with this team? Do they not realize other players are going to see how badly they're treating this guy? Dude's only making 500K a week. This is Wilpon tier bad and basically the entire NFL seems to be against them.

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my post, you don't have to pick the game, I'm giving everyone except myself a free win on that game.

Edit: yes, even if you pick it and get it wrong I'm giving everyone a win so I can avoid a situation where some people pick and get it wrong and then I'm stuck giving the people who didn't pick a win like what happened when late picks came in a couple weeks ago. It's just easier this way.

Just put everyone on the Jaguars unless they specify otherwise who's going to be dumb enough to pick the Jets and yes this is bait.

If there's one problem with Oklahoma's loss, it's that it requires another one to cause any "damage".

Right now we're pretty clearly set for 1. Alabama/LSU winner, 2. Ohio State/Penn State winner 3. Clemson 4. Alabama/LSU loser.

(I don't see there being any reason to believe in Baylor or Minnesota at all)

Fans of chaos are definitely rooting for Auburn here! The top of the SEC taking an extra loss turns the #4 into a potential dogpile no matter how the rest of the games go.
