I didn't really connect to the cult stuff as much as Mae and the gang's personal drama, but it does intertwine with Mae's more flawed and serious issues, and these issues cause her friends to question if the cult is real or not. Mae's history and the reason she left college is just more scary to me than any of fantastical ritual sacrifice plot, but the effort is appreciated all the same.

I loved NitW but probably wouldn't rank it high on a horror list for this reason. I thought Mae's personal issues and friendships were a lot more compelling than the horror aspect.

Some dude found a screenshot of the (unfinished, just for the record) game and spent presumably a decent amount of time editing it to make it look "polished"

That to me is a way bigger issue than any perceived "lack of polish" in the right pic. How far people are willing to go to stir up further negativity makes me much more sad than a videogame lacking detail

I don't think editing a screenshot is excessive negativity, it seems like a fun project I might try if I were better at digital art

once more, Stifled/Paul have impeccable taste in round characters. I legitimately like Quina - her character design/concept are adorable, and the wedding scene is hilarious - so I'm glad to see her finally getting a run.

But you aren't actually eating a Sloppy Joe. Just like if you are eating pepperoni and cheese, you're not having a pizza. If you eat melted cheese, you're not having a grilled cheese.

So while it doesn't just become some other thing, you're only eating part of it, so it's hard to argue it's the same thing.

But if you eat a burger without the bun, you're still eating a burger.

(I'm not disagreeing with you I just think it's weird how "sloppy joe" is the sandwich and "burger" is, well, the burger)
