It's really hard these days for a character to debut in the bottom ten - even one decent run is enough to prevent that, one like Chocolina's debut. She enters the STATS with 28.50%, landing at 108th out of 121 in the STATS. The newSTATS are a bit more "forgiving" on that front, as Chocolina drops in at 93rd of 99.

The problem with redemption projects is that there tends to be a reason the redemption was needed in the first place. There's no better example than Wakka, who just can't seem to stay high enough on priority lists to last, and it's now resulted in the formation of the Quintuple Boot Club. That being said, the redemption wasn't a total failure, since Wakka remains outside of the bottom ten despite all the boots. He does drop from 29.30% to 27.37%, but that only pushes him down three spots to 107th out of 119. He takes a slightly bigger tumble in the newSTATS due to having more to lose, from 41.95% to 36.62% and down nine spots to 79th.
