I was very much in the "I'm upset this isn't turn-based" camp when this was first announced, but after sitting on it I realized that I wasn't coming to the remake for the combat. I'm here for the story, characters, and world in great quality.

If I wanted old combat I'd play the original game. I'm trying to be immersed in this world, the combat could be a rhythm game and I'd be in.

I don't even understand how League of Legends works and I'd rather watch an LoL tournament for 6 hours than have to sit through another game of this specialist format stuff.

There are a few veterans (30+) on the Marlies, but the entire top 6 (minus Mueller), and 4/6 D men are 'prospects' in the traditional sense, as well as their goalie.

Now I put prospects in air quotes because the Leafs are pretty stacked at forward so it's likely most of the top 6 never cracks the roster in its current form. Those 4 D men are all fair game though (Liljegren and Sandin for sure, Borgman and Rosen potentially). I'm expecting, at the minimum, two of them to start for the Leafs in October.

They've got 22 players 25 and under, and 6 players over 30. Only a few of the 30+ guys see the ice.

I mean, if it's the latter then that still gives me some hope for the future, if there's still lots of talent down there, I guess...
