When my family and I went to see the second Pirates of the Caribbean movie, right when they show the Disney castle before the movie starts, the film seemingly burned up, and you could see it. It kind of seemed on point for the film, so we weren't sure if that was part of the intro until nothing happened after several seconds.

In recent years, I went to see Three Billboards with my mom and sister. Very early in the film, the screen went black but characters kept talking, and you knew that wasn't part of the film.

With the first thing, we got vouchers to see any movie in the future, and we still saw the second Pirates film. The second gave us two vouchers for any movies, and we saw I, Tonya that same day and Three Billboards a few days later.

That sounds fun, and I do believe when Link to the Past was a game of the month, I got my point with it with the randomizer. l'm probably still replaying on cartridge, but I think the precedent has been set that randomizer is ok if you want to?

Well, with LttP, my understanding is that it is very much the same game, but the items' locations are randomized, which in effect has slight changes to affected dungeons and whatnot to ensure that any playthrough is beatable. I haven't played Aria of Sorrow, but if its randomizer is the same way, I don't see why it shouldn't count.

Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series (PS4)

I thought the first movie was okay, and the second movie much worse. That is my only experience with Guardians of the Galaxy. I ended up being very impressed with this game, and it might be my second favorite of this style of Telltale games that I've played (Wolf > Guardians > Walking Dead S1 >= Batman S1). I can't exactly put my finger on it as to why, but a potential reason is that I feel like this was arguably the most character-oriented of the four, which is to my tastes. I also think that my decisions had a larger effect on the plot than the other three.

It does have its issues, beyond the typical Telltale performance ones, in that the shift from the cel-shaded art style to the one they used in the Sam & Max/Monkey Island/etc... era was definitely a headscratcher and the jarring reactions by various characters to your dialog choices.

I will put all of my major decisions in spoiler tags below. Because Telltale went under, there were no end-of-episode mentions of your decisions, so I had to piece things together through various sources online.

This project started in October of 2014 (by MMX) with Tales of Xillia and Jak & Daxter kicking things off. Through September of 2019, we have done 187 games (by my calculations), and all 187 games have had at least one person beat it during the acceptable time frame. - While I don't keep a record of who nominated those games, I am positive that VVVVVV, SMB, Celeste, and FEZ were mine. I forget if Guacamelee was selected when I nominated it or if someone nominated it after me and was selected. It was maybe someone like Suprak if not me.

- I want to say gameking had Brothers, Jak & Daxter, and Portal.

- Castlevania III seems like it was a Shad or Eddv nom.

- Super Mario World makes me think Nee.

- Super Mario Odyssey could have been anyone since it is a popular choice for someone to nominate a game that is about to or just came out. If I had to guess though, I would say Lolo or MSG.

These are all heavily skewed toward the past, especially during the two or so years that MMX was running this, but it's nice to know we can still get plenty of people to play some of these games as Celeste and SMB were this year.

I assume this GTTSC thing, whatever that is, is why what has to be the most time I have spent on my Sony systems in the past two or so years doesn't even get me into 3rd.
