I'd actually really like someone in a position of authority at the Astros to go on the record as to whether the organization thinks he actually did commit domestic violence or not?

Because if he did, he should be in jail, and not on the team.

But if he didn't, he was the victim of a malicious false accusation and was unjustly suspended and everyone involved should be taking every opportunity to support and defend him.

They already did when they acquired him. They assert that he did, but he served his suspension and is appropriately remorseful. They cant put him in jail even if they wanted to.

None of that excuses yelling at people specifically that youre proud you hired a domestic abuser just to piss them off because its a hot topic for them.

Michael Vick has served his time and shouldnt be in jail and should have been allowed to continue his career the way he did. It still would be a fireable offense for the 2009 Eagles GM to go purposefully yell at animal abuse activists about how great it is that they signed the guy that pisses them off.

Weed is still illegal in Texas despite it supposedly being America's closest thing to a libertarian ideal. The governor specifically is anti-weed but the biggest guesses as to why Republicans don't want it are:

1) Tobacco and alcohol industry lobbying (probably the biggest reason)
2) It does still play to the Christian base (not sure if there is polling on this)
3) boomers?

You know, I really do wonder what the tobacco lobby is afraid of. Have you ever in your life seen anyone smoke a cigarette just because they dont have any weed? It would be like the milk lobby putting pressure to make alcohol illegal.
