The shepherd is almost 3 and the huskies are turning 2 now. Huskies are zoomers and you have to equip your house for them. If you dont, theyll be escaping every chance they get. Your backyard has to be prison escape proof. Also, except to get 10x the hair everywhere with Huskies, taking them to the groomers is a must. But theyre so loving and loyal. as to the OP. We got our shepherd two years and it was the best decision we ever made. Our families freaked out that we got a giant ass dog so early in our relationship. But now both our families want him. He had growing pains, he would love to pee and poop as soon as you put a leash on him. That stopped quick. My shepherd now is just a lazy dude. We created a mini bed spot for him at the end our of bed and he just lays there all day. He looks to have activity for 20 minutes and come back in. Super loyal, theyre incredibly smart, and they love you to death. Their bark is extremely loud though and be prepared to handle him if he starts to pull when he sees other dogs.
