Madonna stopped making music worth caring about in the 90s, and by the mid-2000s she was basically a sad grandma that most people didn't spend all that much time paying attention to or caring about.

Kind of like when Cher decided that wearing a fishnet body suit while straddling a ship cannon was age-appropriate with "if I could turn back time" in '89.

Just saw tRoS and I'll say this much. If I went in to it blind, knowing nothing about Star Wars or Jedi or Sith or any established canon, I'd say it wasn't a terrible movie.

That being said, what the fuck did I just watch? That's not how this works. That's not how ANY of this works. Ass-pull doesn't even begin to cover what I just saw.

Given that I don't pay attention to hockey and could therefore define my "favourite" team as the one that requires the least travel, this would probably be doable without having to take the full time off work. That said, if flights being cancelled costs me the prize, I don't think it'd be a worthwhile gamble. Flying in Canada in the winter is risky business. Flights get cancelled all the time, and with only a day or two to spare between some games, that could very easily be the end of it.

If flight cancellations (and other such uncontrollable travel interruptions) don't count against me, then I'd do it, otherwise, not so much.

This was my major issue. I live in the Hudson Valley in NY, so if I just followed the Rangers, all the home games are easy-peasy. Jump the river to Beacon and I have a train straight into Grand Central and from there MSG is a short hop. Given the geography of New England and a majority of NHL teams clustered in major cities of the Northeast, at least a third of the away games are more or less driveable if I planned ahead. Another third are going to be relatively routine and safe flights. However, this brings us to that last third of the away games which would be a total crapshoot. Minnesota and several Canadian arenas would come down to pure luck depending on what the weather was doing. Buffalo is also very close, certainly close enough to drive to but they get lake effect snow 4 feet at a time with frightening regularity.

I figure about 60 or so of those games are going to be in the bag before I even take the bet, but those remaining 20ish could get super sketchy.

I am blown away that the NHL season is as long as an NBA season Hockey seems like a sport where injuries are far more common and that it is a very taxing sport on the player.

I mean yes and no to the taxing part. There's not nearly as much contact as say, American Football or Rugby, the periods are 3x20 without nearly as much stop and go, and players rotate in and out of play fairly often. That's not to say hockey is without pain and injuries, you are doing up to 20mph at points with what amounts to knife blades on your feet, but the padding does absorb a good deal of the incidental contact, and when you go down, unless it's a body pile you tend to slide rather than just come to an abrupt thud like you would on AstroTurf.

I might even go so far as to say that basketball might be harder on the body, or at least the joints with the quick changes of direction, whereas hockey is more...arcing. momentum swings instead of stop and reverse type moves. Not a lot of jumping in hockey either for obvious reasons.

The major hitch I could foresee in this scenario would be that hockey is a primarily winter sport and with that comes unexpected travel delays, particularly to the furthest north cities. I could see a bad storm leaving you stuck. Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Buffalo...etc are risky bets.

Also, ostritch is very good, possibly my favorite bird meat out of the birds I've had, (chicken, duck, goose, turkey, quail), but gazelle is possibly the best meat I've ever had. It even edges out venison, and I really, really like venison. Gazelle is just on another level. Ibex is a close second, venison (deer) is a very close third. Venison is however far more available than the rest. Bear is hit or miss, so is moose and elk.

If I had to pick a last meal, a gazelle New York strip would be my first choice.

In a survival situation, all bets are off, but having sampled a surprising cross-section of exotic game, gazelle is by far my favorite.

Snakes suck unless frog is your jam. Snake is too close to tripe on taste and texture and I really dislike tripe.

The Senate wasn't selected for impartiality in the trial, because this isn't a standard trial by any simplistic analogy. If anything, they're more like referees than jurors. They were already "in the stadium" when a trial broke out. It isn't the same thing no matter how hard you try and reduce it to that.
