University of Tbingen, toward the south. It was a great city and experience (a whole month), but I was so damn busy being weird on purpose during undergrad that there's a lot I don't even remember.

I second everything already said, but also try warming up with a resistance band just above your knees. Keep your toes at 12:00 and take little steps aside to side and in a square. It'll switch on your side muscles and glutes and help your feet stay planted and knees tracking correctly.

When I clicked on it I saw that their recent posts were all from gonewild and they all had nfsw tags so so far so good. But a little bit down the page there were thumbnails that were actually shown, I'm not sure if they were actually nude or they just had tape over their nipples

Wouldn't whatever IT could see just be Reddit and the user's name page? It's not like there are descriptions of images for the visually impaired in what IT logs.

Absolutely not, no!

I think there should be special circumstances to allow homeschooling, but these should be rarities and far from the norm with frequent social welfare checks to make sure kids don't fall through the cracks.

I was allowed to go to public school because my mother was a narcissist who didn't want to put up with me/children, but for the same reason, I was forbidden from having friends over or going over to other kids' houses in most circumstances. Because of this, I'm fiercely defensive of public schooling because it was the only time I ever saw any other humans. I straight up believe homeschooling should be illegal, but I had the advantage of uncommonly spectacular, nationally-rated schools; I fully acknowledge the deliberate underfunding and sabotage of other districts.

Do you think homeschooling, as it is currently, should be permitted?

I went to Germany in college as part of a multinational study abroad program and, one day, the teachers said "We're going on a field trip. What we're doing is a surprise, so all we'll say is 'Make fun with the Americans now!'"

omg What could it be? Eating contest? Shooting gallery? ...Holocaust Museum?

We all start walking, people from all nations. We walk maybe half an hour and finally come to a bowling alley. A collective "Oh!" of recognition rises in unison from students representing dozens of countries. I ask a German what's up and he deadass says:

"Americans LOVE bowling! You know, like, after work, I will go into a bar and you will go bowling. Or if there is a pretty girl, I will ask her to the cinema and you would ask her for bowling."

And you know what, Oli? I don't go bowling every year, but I always do love it when I go. My favorite stereotype ever.

You focus on your school and work, then your girlfriend's if you feel like it's a worthwhile expenditure for you. Every job I've ever had that I've sought additional duties for, I've been scolded.

I'm a professional linguist, but there isn't that much work at the language factory sometimes, so I picked up a crappy seasonal job inspecting ugly Christmas ornaments with handwritten messages on them. Because the major rush hasn't started yet, there are frequently lulls in there being anything to check while the writers work.

In one such lull, I asked to unpack boxes ("No, don't worry, Barbara does that.") and to learn how to double up in the shipping department ("We can't train you [how to put stamps on a box???] until some other time."). So, I went back to my desk and started taking paper and pen notes on a project I have for my languages. Within a minute, I was scolded for my idleness.

This isn't the only job I've had with this issue. When I first got out of grad school and worked in law firms as a paralegal, I frequently had nothing to do and would seek out learning/helping opportunities, or even just ask to vacuum. There would rarely be additional work and no one wants to or is able to take time out of their workdays for extra training. When I worked retail, we were always supposed to be waiting for customers at the cash registers and to be tidying the shelves; we could get in trouble for being away from the shelves or away from the register, depending on the caprice of the manager.

I don't wholly blame them because people with real jobs are busy, but the obsession with 'looking busy' is detrimental to actual work ("Better do it slower so I don't run out of things to do") and motivation ("No point in trying to excel because this dead-end job is even deader than I thought"). There comes a point when you have to trust your employees aren't purposefully trying to screw you out of that sweet, sweet minimum wage. It's not actually hard to figure out who good workers are, from cashiering to paralegals to plumber's assistants.

There was a menstruation museum in my state in a man's house available for tour by appointment only. That man's on pause now. Bloody appropriate, too.

But this is way cooter, period. This is tight. You could go to this without having to pussyfoot around telling people about it, or worrying that your visit would leak out. Im surprised nobody has made billions working as a proofreader for scammers.

They write them so poorly as an initial IQ test for a quicker score. There's no point in wasting their time and their mark's by going into detail and accuracy; it's easier to cast a broad, poorly-spelled net and see who immediately responds to it despite all the red flags, because that sort of trusting dink is exactly who you want.

Thanks again for planning this. I'm getting excited. I was just looking up other DC events on the 7th to see what competing traffic we're up against. There's a Native art show at the Native American History Museum if you need to do any holiday shopping for gifts people will have say is thoughtful. There's also a "Santa Party" boasting DJs for go-go, K-Pop, country and more that starts at 9:00. :o

And a dance fitness class at the Kennedy Center. lol

Does anyone know if there are sporting events happening that day? I'll keep up on the Metro Police website for any dignitary visits that might screw us over.
