.. and the first three examples relate to situations where multiple people, of potentially various genders are implicated in a given scenario.

It's absolutely silly to use "they" when referring to a specific individual. In fact, it can be quite confusing.

For example:

Person A: "Where did they go"?

Person B: "What do you mean where did they go" Who are you talking about?"

Person A: "Oh I mean where did Ashley go?"

Person B: "Oh, Ashley went to get something to eat"

I just think that if someone were to beat Trump, they would have to be more moderate in their beliefs. Which is why Biden and Co. are polling better than Sanders and Co.

Trump attributing these four clowns to the entire Dem. party and making them the face of the Dem. party by coverage and recognition absolutely does not help the Dem. party.

I would argue their ideas aren't really that popular. They're outspoken and sensationalized on social media and garner media attention thus Trump's attention as well. But their ideas are pretty extreme for many Democrats, particularly older ones (which absolutely matter.. older people vote).

When Trump brings their extremism (so to speak) to the forefront and attaches that to the rest of the Democratic party, it can lead a lot of moderates and even Democrats to Trump's team.

It's important to keep in mind that Trump has garnered a higher percentage of "minority" votes than previous Republican candidates.

As much as the left would like to label Trump against "brown people" (as they describe them as), many of those same "brown people" love Trump's policies.

Take for example the recent ICE raids. These are people who have not shown up for hearings and/or have already been ordered to leave. And somehow this is a big issue? We can't enforce immigration laws? That's a big deal many people are paying attention to if the left will not enforce the border or deport people who have been ordered to leave.
