I went to school with a kid who did stuff like this. He was in my brother's friend group. He was always a shitty person and he ended up strangling his girlfriend's infant daughter and getting sent to jail as an adult. I wasn't surprised at all.

They've expanded way beyond just books, they also sell merchandise and board games and they tend to have a Starbucks inside.

They don't have too many stores or too much competition. And there are still some people who like to go there to get physical books for themselves or as gifts.

I really want to like that dev team's games (bravely default and this one) because they have such cool art styles (though OP has some problems I still admire their innovation)

But the games are so archaic and dull in their stories, writing, etc. And honestly Octopath traveler's sprites aren't even good looking. There are RPGs with such more interesting writing

So it's safe to say Splatoon is here to stay. So happy that it was such a success despite the Wii U's failure.

It's pretty crazy how well Splatoon sold despite being on Wii U. It had nowhere else to go but up. Crazy that it's already a top 5 Nintendo franchise.

For real. Some Nintendo series (fire emblem for example) have had like 12+ games over at least 25 years and they still never managed to sell more than 2 or 3 million copies at most in a single game. But Splatoon comes around and it has already sold almost 10 million copies in its second outing.

It's easily Disney's funniest movie ever. The animation itself is just hilarious. I mean, look at the way Yzma's scarf flops onto her, or how she's animated pulling her neck out of the mud, or the way the flies swarm her, or the weird bird Kronk is examining.

Yeah honestly I agree with post 2, get over it. The Last Jedi was more interesting to me than any of the other Star Wars movies I've seen, this is the only time I've ever actually wanted to see what happens next. Usually my family drags me to see them but now I'll actually go regardless. (Haven't seen the original three though, which I think are probably the best ones)

Beating the final boss is like a checkpoint more than a finish line.

I beat the game a week ago but it doesn't really make much of a difference, as somebody who's played a roguelike before would be able to tell you.

The game is very fun and challenging.

It sort of reminds me of those animal activists that would throw red paint on people's fur coats. I mean, the animal is already dead, the damage is done, and now the purpose of that animal's death to make clothing is ruined also, and it makes it even more senseless.

Their thinking is that it does a few things:

-Deters people from buying fur because they don't like the idea that somebody could ruin it

-It's gonna end up on the news and get a lot more attention to their cause, more than if they had just said "don't do that"

I thought this was cool. A girl at the gym asked me if I was at the airport last week, because she thinks she recognized me. And she was right. I thought it was crazy coincidence, but then I remembered I one time recognized somebody on the Beijing streets who was on my flight to china several days before. And I guess it's not too rare!

The absolute worst it's ever been were the more recent seasons where it was one whole connected story.
The 2016 election season and the ones before and after.

Both felt like each episode had to have some current day social commentary about something in it only because the creators feel that's the only reason for the show to exist anymore.

It's so lame. Instead of getting like 15 unique plots you just end up with one attenuated story whose story points are repeated and reiterated upon like 5 times each.

Also I think they've destroyed a lot of their main characters. Mr Garrison was discarded completely and inexplicably became a weird Donald Trump (it made NO SENSE why he changed to a different character and now he's just gone).

Kyle's dad is suddenly shown to be bizarrely and irredeemably cruel and evil, and it's just brushed away somehow like we should just forget it. How are we supposed to react to him at all moving forward?

Eric Cartman had such a huge and inexplicable change, and it didn't pay off. At all.

They pressed on in the face of counter-protesters making threatening gestures and Catholics praying on the sidewalks in silent protest.

The scene reflected a growing tension in this country between a burgeoning rights movement and a conservative backlash.

Its a tension that the Polish ruling party has been accused of fuelling and exploiting.

Ahead of parliamentary elections this autumn, the Law and Justice party has thrown the full weight of its party apparatus behind a campaign that is marginalising Polands LGBT+ community, its critics say.

The partys new focus on countering what its officials call Western LGBT ideology has largely replaced its prior rallying cries against migrants, said Michal Bilewicz, a researcher at the University of Warsaw who tracks the prevalence of prejudices against minorities in public discourse.

In 2015, anti-migrant rhetoric helped the right-wing populist party come to power, according to data gathered by Mr Bilewicz.

But even at the height of Europes surge, Poland never saw many non-European migrants, and public attention became more difficult to sustain once the flow to the continent diminished.

This spring, as Law and Justice was gearing up for European Parliament elections, its leader, Jarosaw Kaczyski highlighted another supposed foreign danger.

Warsaws mayor had recently advocated integrating sex education and LGBT+ issues into school curriculums, in accordance with World Health Organisation guidelines.

In Mr Kaczyskis telling, this was an attack on the family and an attack on children.

He called LGBT ideology an imported threat to Polish identity, to our nation, to its existence and thus to the Polish state.

A Law and Justice campaign advert depicted an umbrella with the party logo protecting a family from rainbow rain.

Regional party officials have since pushed to declare cities and even entire provinces in the countrys conservative southeast LGBT-ideology free.

Activists have counted around 30 such declarations so far, including one in the region where the city of Kielce is located.

Local Law and Justice councillor Piotr Kisiel, 37, rejected accusations that his party was trying to stir up outrage against gay individuals.

He said the party was merely reacting to what it considered to be activists efforts to enforce their views on heterosexual people.
