The Legend of Dragoon was a very mediocre PS1 JRPG,

Really? I thought it had a just-mediocre story with excellent-for-the-time-graphics and an interesting combat system.

Really? I thought it had a great story, and that was one of its best features for me.
Maybe similar plots have been done a lot since then, but it was pretty fresh at the time.

Spoilers, just in case...
I really loved how the game built up the Black Monster from the start as if it'd be the final boss or something, then the huge plot twist and swerve that it's actually your comrade. Which did actually surprise me. Obviously Rose had been alive the entire history of the game's lore and knew more than she let on, but didn't actually expect it'd be her.
Then Dart, who starts off seeming like a generic RPG hero, has the big character growth moment of forgiving her and letting his desire for vengeance subside. Plus he actually admits his feelings for the love interest halfway through the game and becomes a couple w/ her, which is STILL refreshing even in current games.
Plus the realization of just how much of a crapsack world they live in, slated by their own creator for destruction...done to death since then, but pretty fresh at the time.

Not as strong a question as I'd have liked, but bonus points for it coming from a Republican who thought it would bolster Trump, cuz... lol

The Dems should get Mueller's view on the five year statute of limitations then. In plenty of cases with such SoL laws, it can be "frozen" for a period of time if it's impossible to actually charge the alleged criminal. Considering a lot of the evidence dates to 2016 and if they wait till he leaves office in Jan 2021 (I hope...), it may well already be too late by then to get a court case through before that 5 year mark hits.

Did Mueller at least answer, in plain and simple English, that "yes, in my professional opinion there was enough evidence to justify an indictment" and that "the only reason I did not recommend to indict Trump is because the Dept. of Justice doesn't allow a sitting president to be indicted"?
He already said so in his report, but said it in such a round about and verbose way that those basic facts seem to be ignored or claimed as false. Getting him to say it, clear cut, was kind of super important.

Bonus points if they got him to state on the record that the Dept. of Justice's policy to not indict a sitting president has never actually been tested in a court of law to see if it is actually correct legal principle.
(Because even beyond Trump, that policy is fucking bs and basically puts the president above the law, and I'd like to see more acknowledgement that it's not some ironclad rule coded into the actual law)

Peace, obviously. War only benefits a small number of sectors while disrupting supply and interfering with the customer-base. Capitalism has been the most democratizing force in the world largely *because* it's more profitable to do business with other nations than to fight them.

Capitalism and democracy are not the same thing, or even in the same category. One is an economic system and the other a form of governance.

Russia and China have capitalist economies, the latter being rather successful at it, and are not democracies.

Unhappily Ever After: Tiffany finally is going off to Harvard and Jack and Mr. Floppy have a touching final arc, ending in them singing the original theme song of the show.

Outsourced: Though I wish it lasted longer than 1 season, at least they seemed to have some forewarning it wouldn't be renewed and closed as many loose threads as they could. Rajiv's wedding was a good place to end things in general.

Burn Notice: Not sure it should count, because things kinda went off the rails a bit in the last two seasons as a whole, but the final episode closed things out really well.

Hmm...most of my favorite shows had fairly abrupt (Special Unit 2, Human Weapon, Mortal Kombat Conquest) or poorly done (Chuck) endings, now that I think about it.

I never had a Dreamcast or Xbox. The Wii U is a criminally underrated system. I had a great time with it, it was the last console to offer free online, and virtual console (with N64 games!) is way better than a bunch of NES games no one cares about. If they had marketed it better, and if the default controller hadn't been an uncomfortable lump, it could've been very successful.

I actually liked the lump of a controller. Mostly because for a lot of games, I had a constant map...

I didn't like it, but the Pro controller was fairly affordable and excellent both in design/form and battery life, so I didn't care. I did like having 2 player games have the 2nd on the pad, split screen is just terrible, especially when games divide it into left/right instead of top/bottom.

I barely knew anything about him at the time, other than the Halloween Simpsons episode where he destroys his hat when people say they have no real choice but to vote for the two aliens.

But reading up on him, he seemed like a pretty incredible guy. Pulling 19% of the votes in a modern election as a third party is insane, and his rhetoric about our trade imbalance and rising debt was prescient and still ignored. Plus, from the anecdotes I've read, he was, like McCain, very civil and respectful to people w/ different political views and did a lot to help veterans.

Figured I'd just mention him here, since it's the same sentiment as I had for McCain, and unfortunately it seems like no one else is gonna mention Perot.

Which seems in its own way like an admission of guilt, but whatever.

these were my thoughts as well.

Even if that is the case:

1. Why should he then be rewarded for his actions with the lesser sentence? What murderer would ever say where the body could be found if withholding that information results in a guaranteed lesser sentence? He was already up for the death penalty potentially. If you think he's keeping the body's location a secret b/c it's that bad, all the more reason to throw the fucking book at the monster.

2. Even after the sentencing was over and he was no longer at risk of being sentenced to death, he wouldn't reveal the location. Perhaps he's just an incredibly evil person, and the jury fucked this one up?

He's done this shit plenty of times before. It never fails. If news is gonna be especially bad for him, he goes to the well and says something racist.

Then what happens? Everyone's distracted talking about that for the next week or two. He loses absolutely nothing from it, anybody who'd be appalled by him being racist ceased supporting him years ago (he literally opened his presidential campaign by calling Mexicans tapists*) anyway, and it actually excites and energizes his base.
