why

it's got six votes and the next ost down is three. at the moment it's the leader of the pack. i could vote for it - i like a lot of the songs on the ost, fractal mode being my favorite - but i see no NEED to vote for it at the moment - my opinion is that the ost currently has enough votes to enter the contest. if it enters a tie or other osts start overtaking it, i'll probably vote for it.

I'm pretty surprised there's still 5 Pokemon games left.

For one because I figured they'd cannibalize each other more than this, for another because BW being the lowest is kinda lame, for another because both GS and HGSS are in it...weird. And a shame that BW is so underappreciated that there's apparently a bit of a gap between them. IMO the only Pokemon game better than BW is the original RBY, and that's mostly nostalgia.

BW2 qol changes sadly set it up to be cannibalised hard imo, especially following HGSS.

Alright here's my revision now. You can forget about Remember Me, and the only Accelerator you'll be seeing is the album, barring someone nominating that Index Virtual-On game or something. I nearly replaced the alt song too but was coerced otherwise (thankfully since it's my favourite lol)

Just a heads up that i did a proper listen to the AoS2 soundtrack (+albums) and will probably be dramatically revising my nom soon. Expect at least 3 replacements and the entire order being rearranged. Just need to open up the game to confirm in-game titles.

Because I have honour, I specifically requested to have the in-game versions of Tsurugi's soundtrack to be uploaded, after relying on the OST versions all this time. So... Thanks deo for that.

Actually after checking wow i really don't like the inclusion of all of those battle themes. How is not a single one of them even shining dagger?

I did include the 6th labyrinth battle theme for EO4, but Shining Dagger didn't seem as interesting. I would swap it in for Primeval Forest Ring; I have no problem saturating the list with battle themes since most of the bracket is just song-against-song matchups. If you want to avoid bringing it to 5/7 battle themes, then it can replace Activation or Critical Situation?

Raging Waves does seem polarizing...I guess it did "well" in VGMC by winning 2 rounds after the bye, but they were hair-splittingly close matches. It's definitely the one track that feels like a must-include for me, assuming it doesn't actively hurt the nomination as a whole.

Honestly, I don't really consider myself representative of whatever average EO music fans like. I was only considering V since i figured stuff like 4 or 3 would be prioritised instead (or nexus, which i haven't played since my 3ds is essentially dead now), so you're good. Personally, I'm hoping you can sneak in A Town Embraced by the Azure Sky even though it'd bomb because it's lowkey one of my favourites for it.

Shining Dagger is... admittedly not that great, but I feel it definitely stands out compared to the other battle themes in 5. Not that the others are necessarily bad, they're just very samey and that's not a good thing. I would've definitely put it in my lower 3.

I'm also a fan of how consistently solid the labyrinth themes are in 5 and would be cool with any of them between 2 and 6. So... Needless to say, I didn't mention it before but I'm all for any of your any initial potential swaps you mentioned.

Looks like I'll have to delay my Tsurugi nom till tomorrow, so in the meantime...

This is a very "personal bias" nom and while I did preview this to esteemed user FL81, not an awful lot was exactly changed at all, so feedback is welcome. (i definitely don't feel 100% confident on what i should do with accelerator, for example)

People tend to be aware of it at least, but it's not much of a thing here (NZ). I use it to contact family when they're away and that's about it. Otherwise my friends foolishly attempt to contact me via Facebook or Discord, or plain regular phone calls. I also have LINE installed but don't know anyone else that uses it here which is a shame.
