Babe Ruth was also in pretty good shape during the peak of his career. It's just a lot of his image comes from photos taken near the end of his career. But yeah, watch any good defensive plays in the infield or outfield and you'll realize baseball absolutely does require a high level of athleticism.

Pokmon is awful and it always has been. Probably the worst thing about it is the removal of good features with each installment.

Consider me intrigued and way too tired to argue. Elaborate for me?

https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/6qjy0f/essay_the_features_removed_over_the_pokemon/

This is from two years ago, but still relevant. The two most egregious ones are probably the removal of the Battle Frontier/postgame and the removal of difficulty levels. And now with Sword and Shield you of course have the removal of Mega Evolution and Z-Moves, along with the total absence of hundreds of Pokemon.

Stagnation is another issue with Pokemon in my opinion. It's just the same tired formula over and over again. They actually did try to shake things up a little with Sun and Moon, but with those games came the other major issue I have with Pokemon. That would be just plain nonsensical decisions. In Sun and Moon they purposely made the newer Pokemon harder to obtain. Look at Vikavolt as an example. You can capture its base form early in the game, and then evolve it at Level 20. Then you have to wait till almost the end of the game to evolve it to its final form because it requires being in a specific place. And that place happens to be all the way at the end of the game. Oh and they gave it a ridiculously low base Speed for no particular reason. They did this with a lot of the Gen 7 Pokemon.

There are a number of Yankee fans who would disagree with you here. A lot of them seem to think Hal Steinbrenner is Wilpon levels of cheap. Not going after Keuchel is definitely suspect, but Cashman makes far more good moves than bad moves, so I'm not going to blame ownership too much.

Also, Mets barely eked out a win there.

This, there is literally no boss that takes 10 minutes to reach. Most bosses have benches that are fairly close.

The only specific one I remember that took a while to get back to was the Flukemarm. Of course this was a boss many considered to be one of the easiest in the game. I had quite a bit of trouble with it though.

Overall though, I agree that it's a really weak argument.

Nah the human stuff in the 2014 one was completely uninteresting. I'm not saying it was particularly well-written in this one either, but it was definitely more compelling. It also felt closer to the human stories in other Godzilla films.

Also, Im a Godzilla noob so has Mothra always been kind of a good guy/gal? Also, there's a Mecha Ghidora which the post credits scene kinda hints at right?

Yeah Mothra is almost always good and portrayed as a defender of Earth. It varies for Godzilla, but even in Godzilla's heroic portrayals, he's usually not driven by protecting the Earth like Mothra is. He's more about just asserting his dominance.

Anyway wins are also hard to come by for the Yankees now too. They need starters desperately at this point. Having a very good bullpen is nice, but all it takes is for one guy to be off his game to ruin it. Usually I think Yankee fans overreact to a lot of things, but this particular issue is one I do share with them.

jesus christ, this shit literlaly only happens to the mets.
the mets have a 4-2 lead over the cardinals, rain coming down hard. 8th inning just finished. diaz is ready. comes out to throw warmup pitches it starts raining harder. they're about to put the tarp on. rain lets up a bit and they decide not to, after diaz got warmed up. 15 minute delay to clean up the field a bit. diaz blows the lead. to extras. then they immediately put the tarp on.

like are you fucking kidding? this is pretty similar to that awful game the mets blew to the padres after the rain delay in 2015, where again they had a 2 run lead with 1 out to go, and a rain delay interjected and they blew the game after the rain delay, and then they delayed it a second time. its like literally exactly the same.

this shit only happens to the mets. prove me wrong.

Wins certainly don't come easy for them. It's unfortunate how much trouble Diaz has been having. It was too much to expect him to be as great as he was last year, but still he was expected to be one of the better closers this year. Looks like it was indeed a pretty awful trade.

Yeah I'm optimistic here. I think having a whole map to use already will let them focus even more on some additional new areas.

The thing I would like the most is for shrines to be cut down or eliminated in favor of either more traditional dungeons or dungeons like Hyrule Castle in BOTW. Or a mix of both.

Shrines are probably not going to be reused. At least not the same shrines. I imagine probably we'll see link drop the sheikah slate into some abyss right at the beginning so they have an excuse to give us all new tools.

I don't know about that. I expect the Slate to return, and all the Runes with it. They just seem like convenient abilities. And I don't really see why they'd get rid of them at this point. I would like to see some additional tangible items though, similar to the paraglider. If a good chunk of the game does take place underground, reintroducing the grappling hook sounds like a good idea to me.

Unless CD Projekt Red spent way more money that they should have to keep him for craptons of dialogue AND ADR's (additional dialogue recording which requires bringing people back after things are done). My assumption is ADR is almost impossible for busy stars even for Hollywood films... *cough* Superman mustache.

The people I see bitching about fighting the Covenant have no understanding of how ideology or politics work.

Like did you all honestly expect the Covenant to just magically go away after Halo 3? I mean I could understand if 4 took place 100 or so years later but this game only takes place roughly 4 years after 3.

I mean, technically the humans and Covenant are at peace after Halo 3. The Covenant forces in Halo 4 are a splinter group.

The splinter groups are the Covenant though. The Swords of Sanghelios is the primary faction that made peace with humanity, and they try to distance themselves from the Covenant as much as possible.

In Halo 5 though, you actually do wipe out most of the Covenant remnants. That's why I'm assuming for Infinite that most or all of the Covenant you fight will have pledged their allegiance to Cortana's faction.

Halo 4 was initially a disappointment in every way to me. I still think it's the worst Halo game by far, but I've grown to appreciate certain parts of it. Other than the QTE boss fight with the Didact, I agree that the final three or four missions of Halo 4 are great. Cuz it's fun to slice a stormtrooper and then pull out a rocket launcher and blow up a group nearby. Why the fuck wouldn't you want more variety

This. You're still going to use the lightsaber 90% of the time. But a combination of that, guns, and the Force lets you do some cool things. I think you need the variety of the Jedi Knight games to make it truly worth it though. Like just giving the character a backup blaster pistol would make sense, but it would ultimately be a bit pointless.
