In terms of your example, I can sort of intellectualize what an apple looks like in my head, and I can rationalize how it would look if it were rotated around, but I can't really just close my eyes and SEE an apple.

This also makes me really, really shit at trying to describe things visually (I'd be terrible if a police sketch artist was asking me to describe a suspect). Though I'm conversely fine at pattern recognition - I easily recognize faces and images I've seen before if I see them again, I just can't really visualize them without outside input.

Something I learned like a year or two ago was there are some people who can't really picture images in there head or something, they can only focus on a small detail, like how you could imagine an apple, flip it around or move it around in your head? Yeah they can't do that, they have to focus on one aspect like the stem or the texture of it.

Technically, they don't leave their own universe.

They go back to points in time where they get the infinity stones, bring them back to the current time to unsnap the snap then Cap "supposedly" puts them all back where they belong.
