Metalcore is hit or miss for me. I think one of the bands that does it best is Killswitch Engage. They have heavy riffs and some gruff vocals, yet they have some of the most melodic guitar sounds and vocals in their change ups. I was going to mention As I Lay Dying for the Christian metal, but I believe their lead singer tried to hire a hitman to kill his wife, so I don't know if they fit the mold anymore. --- The 261 board. I find these genres to have the most diversity when it comes to sound, musicianship, composition and has an incredible amount of talent among the many artists that permeate the genre.
