This taught me how to fend for myself with side hustles to eat and stay dry. A year after graduating I'm still struggling to land a job that would pay enough to survive. I can't devote time away from my odd jobs for something that won't even pay rent. Some of my buddies have moved to Thailand and other countries to get living wages and healthcare. It's something that's gaining a lot of traction with younger educated people. I'm close to joining them in telling the US to fuck off. We need to stop accepting this poverty rat race just so CEOs and shareholders can start turning into trillionaires. It'll only continue to get worse as long as we accept it. |
