Buuut at the same time its like impossible to get away with anything in this game. People witness shit when theres literally no one around you get bounties for just defending yourself. I was young and new to PC gaming, didnt have a great PC to begin with, didnt know anyone to play the game with, didnt meet anyone else through the course of the game. And I do remember the lag, the gunplay being kinda jank city even back then. But beyond all that I remember how fun that game as, how mind blowing and interesting it was. I loved how you had to commit to the game and put in the time to develop your character. You had to buy licsences for the various weapons, armour and vehicles to just use them. And that gave this importance to them that they werent something everyone had access to right off the hop. You got to decide what kind of soldier you would be and that progress carried over. The world felt huge and was constantly evolving. The 3 factions at war, and you literally had to take shuttles to get to the various parts of the world right? I like shit like that. Made the world feel like this big, constant thing. Planetside 2 is nothing close to that game and why it never held my attention --- |

Its a huge achievement But also; even though its doing all of this the movie isnt bogged down at all. It stands very well on its own IMHO. People give this movie a lot of shit and I think its a typical, knee jerk internet thing. The amount of times I see people quote it on reddit and stuff is insane. People dont give it the credit it deserves. My only gripe is Ultron himself needed to be a bigger threat, and more menacing. But thats a very tiny complaint in the grand scheme of things. --- |

Lots of games, including many in the same franchise, try to make the class system interesting but in that bF2 game it felt right. There was a good variety but you had a very limited amount of each on every squad. Nothing like the class system in modern BFs where everyone is whatever and the classes dont matter. --- |

Battlefield 2 on backstab and making "jihad jeep" plays on the mosque capture point xD Not too long ago I got into BF2 idk if it was a mod or whatever cant remember what it was called but man that shit was so fun. Very realistic, great gun play, huge maps, loved the imbalance between the sides like you said the jihad keep on some maps was hilarious and a real threat. You had to come up with different strats like that as the terrorists because you were hilariously outgunned but it worked. There was the one map with elevated roads and poppy fields everywhere. The jeeps could use them as cover and ambush you really quickly when you were traveling between the towns. Before you know it you have a Jeep flying out of the field exploding on an entire platoon of dudes. Yeah I had a lot of fun with that. --- |

A game which btw has been in development for 6 years. And we all know that game is going to be riddled with micro transactions, sell like gangbusters and still review ridiculously high. I know I have my preordered already. And this is far from the first instance weve heard of ludicrous crunch times in the gaming industry. We know games AAA are an expensive behemoth that continues to grow every year. You need a lot of fucking money to make a game these days and at the end of the day its a business. Im seeing SC starting to take shape into a legitimately interesting and promising game that isnt just pie in the sky promises and deadlines that never come. Hell I remember when the crowdfunding stretch goal was like Reach this milestone and well hire a prominent celebrity Like it was a big deal it just get one. and now they have a cast including the likes of Mark Hamill, Gary Oldman, Gillian Anderson, Andy Serkis and Henry Cavil...to name a few. But it totally makes sense to waste everyones time and money hiring all them, putting them in hours of mocap work while the developers are probably laughing, tipping their margarita glasses together on a beach in Ibiza right? Come off it. --- |
