I don't because I would rather go home and do nothing. There's a halloween party tonight at 5 at the office and the last thing I want to do is stay here longer.

The only one I go to is the summer party which is actually pretty cool. It's during work hours and I get paid, and they rent out a bar rooftop and there's free food and drinks and stuff

I think that would be a big hangup for the Wolves because they don't have much cap room, and in earlier talks with the Heat, a big potential piece of the Butler trade would be to take Gorgui Dieng. He's a solid player but they paid him way too much a few years ago.

Oh gotcha.

But the upside is there for the wolves and seems like a no brainer to do this trade for a guy who's leaving anyway. Even if the rockets stay good, nobody's going to look back and think "The Timberwolves shouldn't have done that trade"

It's pretty much guaranteed that he's leaving after his contract ends. And yeah, nobody besides KAT would be a huge loss.

I did a little reading, and there's obviously other rules and stuff, but here's a line from woj's story:
"The Rockets' offer constitutes the maximum number of first-round picks allowable in a deal, factoring in league rules that necessitate no first-rounders can be conveyed in successive years, and no pick can be traded farther out than seven seasons."

So these picks could be 19,21,23, and 25. Who knows what the Rockets and NBA will look like in 2025.

I watched a live action programme for once in my life this week...for some reason I still like Daredevil even though I don't like the other marvel Netflix shows enough to even finish their first seasons. Is this show very scary or fun scary

How are the newer seasons of Daredevil? I liked season 1 but for some reason didn't watch any of the others. Have you watched Jessica Jones? If so did you like it? I've been wanting to try that one.

THoHH is definitely creepy so far, but there's a family drama element to it as well. Haven't gotten too far into the scary parts yet. I won't write a big review or anything but it's v good. This show is more scary scary whereas Stranger Things is fun scary

I think I figured out what was wrong with my Spiderman. Turns out I'm just an idiot.
What happened was I started a mission and then turned the game off. Next time I played, I forgot I was in a mission and not in the open world. Even though this particular mission involves climbing a certain building, it looks just like the open world. It must only load the mission you're on and not let you leave the area, hence the weird web swinging stuff

I haven't even finished the main game...I should do that, assuming the controls aren't fucked up still

1 less bench slot and an IR. I've been thinking about chopping another bench slot the past couple years but haven't yet.

Half of this league is pretty casual and don't use the waiver wire much. If all 14 were really competitive I think cutting 2 bench slots would be necessary. It's also free agent auction system

I had a former coworker that was an Owner. The are plenty of good packer fans, but this guy is the reason viking fans hate packer fans. He would constantly talk about being an owner and about how he votes in the owner polls (which decides things like what kinds of French fry seasoning they sell at lambeau). He would also brag about attending annual ownership meetings, which is just a bunch of people camping in tents drinking pabst blue ribbon in a muddy field. It's an outdoor classic rock or country festival but without the music.
Plus this guy was born and raised in minnesota

I think the real question is why didn't the 49ers commit to the run in Packers territory with 3 timeouts at the end there. Beathard is not good. Breida was having his way with the defense all game.

I don't like to be the armchair NFL coach guy, but this was mind boggling. There was like a minute left and the 9ers had good field position. They got a 7 yard gain on a short pass on first down, about a minute left and GB had no timeouts. The run game had been good all night, so of course they have BeatHard throw an incomplete pass, then a long bomb that gets picked off. Everyone on earth knew that rodgers was going March down the field and win it, or as jason Witten said on the broadcast, "pull a rabbit out of his head"

Yeah the epic offensive and then defensive choke job was why the 9ers lost, not the penalty.
