She is almost 90 and she didnt know hes gay until this summer cuz he was visiting her and she wondered who he spent so much time on the phone with (it was me). She called him yesterday and said she would love if the both of us visit sometime.

SD:s party programme still talk about nedrvd essens. There are plenty of active members from the partys founding era who keep getting caught doing neo-nazi shit. High ranking members like Bjrn Sder keep saying you cant be Swedish if youre a Jew. Wow, the party has truly come so far from its roots.

Four other reasons why I cant stand SD:

* Their trade policies are an economic trainwreck.

* Their desire to tear up marriage and adoption rights for same-sex couples.

* Their anti-abortion policies.

* Their plan to bring back the archaic law of Sambeskattning which kept countless women from entering the work force back in the day since the law made them having a job a drain on the households economy.

I also distrust Vnsterpartiet since they havent convincingly dealt with their recent Communist days imo. And Im tired of MP since they keep working against sensible immigration policies which this country need and which would render SD:s extremism moot. Dont mistake my opposition to SD for support for open borders.

This article does simplify things and the Nationalist party didnt just jump to popularity in 2015. They entered Parliament in 2010 and grew substantially ahead of the 2014 election becoming 3rd largest of our 8 parties.

I thought polls had them growing the last couple weeks?

They are on a decline after the initial jolt of energy AKBs resignation gave them. Kristersson rose the party to 23-24% at first but now they are almost back at AKBs crisis numbers.

FI feels rather dead in the water tbh. They had so much focus on them in the last election and still didnt get into Riksdagen. Their buzz has completely faded out. Many of my female friends blabbed about voting for FI but they have moved on for this election.

Block politics are fairly new in Sweden actually (since 2006 in this current form) - Sweden has had a minority SocDem admin for a majority of time of the past century.

I think Darkman assume SD = SocDems. Which is very logical.

But SD stands for Sverigedemokraterna (The Sweden Democrats) and that is the nationalist party. The SocDems are shortened to (S) in regular Swedish talk.

Proportional. There are 349 seats in Riksdagen and they are distributed percentually. But a party need 4% to enter/stay in Riksdagen.

I'm a bit undecided still.

I voted in advance two days ago since Im away on election day and I went SocDem all the way. I tend to vote for them nationally but I have done some different choices regionally and for the municipality over the years. I voted for 3 different parties in 2010. But this time I felt very much aligned with the SocDems on all levels. I consider myself a part of their Right-leaning flank and people like that govern locally since 2014 after many years of Conservative rule so Im pleased with their local work.
