Sera/Dorian/Varric is a 24/7 nonstop sass party. I mean, it kinda sucks team composition-wise, but man, they get the cattiest dialogue. Actually, Dorian's dialogue with anyone is pretty good.

It's easy to rag on it because of the often mediocre sidequests (Hinterlands, the first area, must have at least 50) and so-called SJW issues. Honestly, I enjoyed it more than any other DA I've played.

I found it mostly enjoyable, but the repetition undermines a lot of the potential. Other than that, the plot, plot missions, soundtrack and gameplay are fun. I think I slit about 10,000 throats from stealth when I played, lmao. Whistling is OP.

There's a Paladin Toaster in the cave behind Helios ONE.
You can steal 'That Gun' from the Novac giftshop by picking the door behind the counter.
If you start the Honest Hearts DLC, you can find the Survivalist Rifle (if you know where to look)
You can get the Lucky revolver in the hotel down the road from Goodsprings (in minefield town)

As far as safehouses go, I always use the farmhouse (I think it has 'wolf' in its name) up the road from Nipton. It's right by a cement bridge, so you can't miss it. Definitely prefer it over any official ones that require multiple loading screens.

I've only been playing a month and change and almost have two max-level squads. I'm still not a fan of microtransactiony games having a ton of different currencies (batteries, tickets, contracts, gems, energy, the four basic ones, etc.) and then drip-feeding players on all of 'em. There isn't a single resource in the game -- at least of what I've seen so far -- that isn't being throttled in some manner. It's easy to make a case on a lot of it being predatory, despite the overtures of generosity.

If you're interested in playing, know that the early gaming is probably the hardest since you have little to no resources and few good ways to get 'em. Once you go through the campaign a bit and unlock better logistics, plus another squad slot, you can have your slaves spare units run them 24/7 and build up a nest egg. Things get easier once you do that. If you blow your wad early, like I did when I didn't know jack about resource allocation, then you'll end up spending subsequent day(s) waiting around for your stuff to reaccumulate.
