My brother also had an experience. Hes your typical tough guy who didnt believe in ghosts. He was about 20 at the time.

We were on a cruise in the Middle East. My sister and I shared one room. He and my dad shared another. Our room was always freezing. And I always felt a sense of dread. Id sleep really roughly and have weird vivid dreams of this shadowy figure in our room.

One night my brother had a fight with my dad and slept in our room on the couch. We all went to bed and I heard a weird clinking noise, like my brothers chains. Only he didnt move. Then I heard footsteps. I fell asleep eventually but had a hard time. I felt very uneasy.

Then around 6 am my brother starts screaming for me to turn on the lights. I find him balled up in terror and half crying. He said he woke up to a face looking down at him and he could feel his face was ice cold. It was shadowy but wearing a long white robe. It retreated to the corner of the room and started at him. Then started slowly walking towards him. My brother said hed close his eyes and hope hes seeing things, only for it to be right back at the corner. And then it would walk towards him again. And hed turn and hide when it got too close. And it would be back in the corner again instantly. It went on for a couple of hours too. He was wide awake, pinching himself. He was too terrified to make a noise.

He was literally petrified and I had never seen him like that. We all slept in the other room after that.

Yes we had a weird experience growing up in my old house. My sister had these sailor moon dolls on a shelf, across the room from her bed. A good 10 feet away. The dolls were on the top of the shelf, on top of stands. They stood just fine.

It happened several times where we would hear a sudden crash. And wed go into her room and find a doll or two on the floor. The doll would be by her bed and the stand several feet away. No cause for it to fall at all. Just super creepy.

My friends were over one day and all of a sudden a few started screaming. They saw a man in white just sitting on our couch. He was gone in like an instant.

My sister also had an experience as a kid in that same house. We were sharing a room at the time. She woke up and saw a man in white staring at us.

when you say man in white, do you like all white clothes? or glowing white?

All white clothes

My sister said she watched him for a long time too. She pretended to sleep and he looked over me a while, then over her, then walked through our bedroom door. She still swears by what she saw to this day.

Yeah thats not a good cut. You can try top sirloin. You have a good temp on it though. I personally dont like a big glob of fat so I either would have trimmed it off or rendered it.

Also you can tenderize meats. Hit them with those meat hammers (using the pointy teeth edge). Then salt then and let them rest overnight. Rinse and bring to room temp before cooking and season appropriately.

There's no evidence for Metformin in PCOS unless you have glucose intolerance.

Obviously I should trust the word of a random poster on a game forum over a reputed reproductive endocrinologist.

Sounds like they need an update on current literature.

Nah you run into them in real life. People have unironically suggested I smoke weed instead of taking meds. I tend to be incredibly insulting when they go there though, so I rarely get people's dumb opinions.

As a man, you have even less rights to your kids when youre not married to the mother.

Is this true? If so could you give an explanation as to what you mean by this.
Essentially, an unmarried father has no rights to visitation or custody unless he establishes legal paternity. Which may require a bunch of hoops to jump through legally. Sometimes that can be simple. Some women can unfortunately choose to be difficult and deny their claim to paternity which just elongates the process, etc.

If married, the father is automatically assumed to have legal paternity.

Oh I see what you mean. You're just saying that the automatic paternity isn't necessarily there, not that they actually have less rights assuming paternity is established.

Well in that case, assuming he had kids with her and there is a signed birth certificate, etc., doesn't that generally satisfy the court unless/until a paternity test shows otherwise? It just seems unlikely that she would be all of a sudden be difficult about it assuming he knocked her up any time soon but I understand that situations change suddenly sometimes.

I see people use children as ammunition during divorce pretty damn frequently.

Men get left with one, maybe two weekends a month with their kid. Four days a month really isn't enough imo.

Its awful imo. My mom hated my dad with a passion during the divorce but she took every opportunity for him to be involved in our lives. Shes even invite him to holiday dinners.

I wasnt really bringing it up in relation to lwws relationship specifically. And even so, she is not required to put his name on the birth certificate.

This happened to my brother in law btw. He had a child out of wedlock with a woman he was seeing. But she did not put him on the birth certificate and they broke up shortly after. She refuses to allow him to even see the child. He hasnt really fought for it either, though he can be ignorant about these kind of things (and I imagine he isnt the only one)

I dont understand why so many women do this tho. Literally no reason whatsoever to get married.

Just now if theres ever a problem in the relationship, breaking up will be 1000000X harder

I can see where youre coming from where that would be a positive to make people try harder to make a relationship work.

However it also is a huge negative aspect where divorce tears people apart, is an extremely sexist system, and just doesnt seem worth it.

Like lets get married just so that its big enough of a hassle to get a divorce that it forces us to stay together whether were happy or not.

I dunno I guess I do see why people do it, I just dont personally agree with the logic or think its worth it.

You think breaking up with someone youve lived with for say 10 years, have had kids with, own property with, etc wont be a legal mess too?

As a man, you have even less rights to your kids when youre not married to the mother.

I think its a broken system in general and the main reason most people do it is because of tradition or expectations. You yourself had a thread earlier today about how you were a couple days away from marrying someone who would have been a huge mistake.

It all just seems extremely unnecessary and stressful and a huge waste of money to me but hey what do I know

My situation was a little different. I wanted to escape an abusive home but come from a culture where a woman leaving her family before marriage is seen as a shame on the family. Whenever I expressed wanting to move out, my family would threaten to beat the shit out of me and disown me, so marriage seemed like the only way out.
