I couldn't watch SOA season 2 (actually even the second half of season 1 when they had wings etc was meh to me. Do they ever go back to a more traditional game that doesn't include guns or flying etc? I liked the first world, but nothing else.

Kinda but not really in season 2. After they're done with the guns, they go back to being faires for 2 arcs (the first being really bad but short at least). But I gotta say that the last arc of season 2 is 100% worth it. Its about the first world + wings, but centered around a new character that literally carries the whole season on its back. Also Asuna takes the MC spot while Kirito rests on the side lines for a change.

As for season 3... I'm still trying to make heads of tails out of that first episode, but Alicization seems to be about a more traditional fantasy world. And they did made a lot of references to the technology used in Accel World again, which is a huge plus in my book.

I dont see any reason why someone should be pressured to leave home, especially considering how expensive everything is nowadays

I do wonder how many are in good relationship with their family but still move out because they feel it is a "rite of passage". If one can afford it, sure, but at the same time making smart financial decisions is kinda also part of that "rite of passage" of being an adult.

Doing that for this said "rite" sounds like a waste of time and money. I would like to move out because the our current home is too small for all of us. If it wasn't for that, I would probably stay there forever... or until I get kicked out, tho I doubt that would ever happen. Not a lech here btw, I do pay for my water and electricity (and for everyone when we eat out, because we would never do it otherwise...), and I'm almost never at home anyway because of work and studies so it's not that much.

I also find rental to be a waste on the long run, it's better to save enough money to buy a place and never ever having to pay to stay there even though it takes longer to actually being able to do that.

If they found someone who had been killed and eaten, and were interviewing potential suspects and talking about how someone had desecrated a body by eating parts of it, if one of the suspects said something along the lines of "I would never kill and eat someone" even though the police had never mentioned killing anyone, just eating human flesh, they very much would be more suspicious of that person.

Not trying to pick sides here, but that would be jumping into conclusions based on almost nothing, because the person being interrogated would link the dots on their mind and think "for someone to be eaten, they must've died beforehand".

It doesn't seem like itt we are talking more about investments, rather younger dudes talking about having their own space.

Smart move. But the thing about investments is that you have to have something to invest first. When you start from zero, this is not an option.

I don't see anything about the existence of human meat in that online dictionary, and I assume that's why you posted it.

But maybe I was talking about no one knowing for sure if he was stating facts, OR if it is indeed his fault we're made of meat.

https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/flesh

That one mentions humans, but also animals and even fruit. I respectfully request a double-blind study that's gone through peer review concluding that humans have, or are made of, meat.

Huh... in Portuguese, there's only a single word for both cases. When I studied English and learnt the word "flesh", I was taught it meant "human meat". Now I wonder which language is scientifically correct... if that makes any sense.

Unless the time machine in question is so sophisticated that it can somehow compensate and move you through space as well as time. Or if it's magic.

idk, I believe in the creed: "Not where, when." >_>

At any rate, kinda curious if any scifi has addressed that concept by only allowing the traveler to return to certain times in history when the planet is in perfect sync with the same location in the current time.

Not that but, like I said above, Steins;Gate takes the distance issue seriously, tho I don't quite remember how they solved that.

Sure you can if you are a farmer and only eat the plants you grow and animals you raise.

Actually you can be fairly sure just so long as you avoid eating packaged/processed foods. You shouldn't be eating that stuff anyway since it is unhealthy. People who eat "clean" diets of only veggies, fruits, whole grains, and lean meats can be fairly sure of what they are eating.

Technically, there's no 100% guarantee that those haven't gone trough something we don't know about (but should) and even their origin could be doubted. You can lower the probability, but not get rid of the risk.

Eating is a gamble. Technically speaking, you can't be sure about anything you eat. You can't be sure of what your mother cooked for you when you were younger. Not even she can. You can't be sure even when you cook it yourself. Who knows what actually is the stuff we buy? All we do is believe in the packages because honestly, that's all we can possibly do. So I rather not worry about these rumors. If I die tomorrow from what I eat today, then oh well, bad luck. Nothing I could've done about that.
