I know people don't really care about WAR for pitchers (or they didn't? maybe it's changed since then), but here is the Rockies' very sad career list. Jason Jennings is actually at 6. Look at how much Jon Gray is moving up! Crazy to think that with just two more seasons averaging 3.5 he'd already be at the top of that list (assuming he finishes this year at least at 11.2).

I see Gray also leads starters in FIP and xFIP

Jorge de la Rosa is unironically a Rockies great though... sadly.

I hope Jon Gray or Kyle Freeland (maybe even German Marquez?) turn out so we can stop having people laugh when we say our best pitcher in history is... Aaron Cook? Ubaldo? Jorge? Staff "ace" of the magical 2007 team, Jeff Francis?

2. When the hell did Jorge de Rosa end up on the Cubs?

Yeah after posting I read up on it more. I had seen the movie a long time ago but I forgot that he was eating 5,000 calories a day, that part is pretty bullshit... unless you're training like a pro athlete of course that will make you fat.

I think the alcohol thing probably wasn't meant to be taken literally though. I mean yeah that probably is a big factor in the liver damage but I could believe he didn't have alcohol during the 30 days.

I do think it was a huge influence in changing fast food menu options but I'd also say something else probably would have come along to do the same.

Uh is it possible the girl looked at you "like some kind of sexual predator" because you kept looking at her? I mean, how would you know what kind of looks she was giving you unless you were giving looks too? Regardless it's not really the type of thing you should worry yourself over so much, nor when people make fun of the situation.

Microsoft is a pretty easy choice for me. Though I've never owned any Sony consoles, and have owned both an OG Xbox and 360, they're basically just third-party machines. I can replace that with PlayStations plus there are exclusives I can see myself interested in. The only MS exclusive I ever cared about was Halo but that's past its prime at this point.

I think we had our NES since before I could even remember. When I was really young I also remember an even older console, something like an Atari or ColecoVision. Then apparently one day my parents sold it or got rid of it and I don't even know when or get any say in it.

It's too bad you didn't hold on to those. Nowadays the consoles are cheap and easily replaceable. The games themselves cost more than the actual console like half the time

Today's poll is a pretty good one. I'm like 99% certain I was playing stuff by age 5 but I don't know about before then. How would anyone even know if they played before age 3? I could ask my parents but I doubt they'd know the exact age.

I'm not even sure if it really counts as "playing" at that age anyway, more like just randomly pressing buttons with no idea what the hell is going on

Do you think Miguel Cabrera will get to 500 home runs? He's 35 away as of now but obviously his best days are behind him and who knows how he'll come back from his injury. I remember when he seemed like a lock for 500 and a decent possibility for 600, but now I'm not sure he'll even get to 500.

He's signed til 2023 amazingly but I doubt he'll last that long. The Yankees even managed to force A-Rod into retiring just 4 homers away from 700.

Above all else it really annoys me that some videos will be there for months on end. Like even if the content itself wasn't shitty, that's objectively poor algorithm design for something that's supposed to be "trending". Maybe that's also a problem with "trending" videos creating a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy that feeds back into more views and thus making it trend.

That seems bad but IIRC around this time last year they were losing 17 of 18 or something ridiculous. Of course they also did that with like a 10 game lead because they were basically this year's Red Sox up until that point

Yes. And kinda. One thing I hate is when you have the option of completing the game but it's treated as a separate mission you can't return from, instead of just allowing at least some changes into the game.

Uh, what do you mean by this? Not sure I follow. Are you talking about games where you get to a certain point late in the game and you're no longer able to go back and explore the rest of the game, or games where you beat it but if you reload your save afterwards it treats it like you haven't beaten it yet?

Not necessarily plot points, but basically anything that you thought might have a possibility of happening by the time you beat the game, but it kind of never came up. I mean, within reason of course, and not stuff where the developer was clearly keeping it vague on purpose.

For example: In Ocarina of Time I was always disappointed that Zora's Domain doesn't ever unfreeze when you're adult Link. And in Majora's Mask I was hoping we'd see what Kafei is supposed to look like normally, but that didn't happen.

I probably have more but can't think of them right now

Man, there must be a lot of teams in MLB that hate the AL Central. You could take up to the third place team in every other division (and fourth place for some of them) and they'd be leading that division. At least the Indians are good though and it's not like they're going to take the division with 80 wins or something

I really don't see the Mariners being able to keep the Yankees or Astros out of the playoffs. I think recent Mariners are a more accurate representation of who they really are than early-season Mariners. But it's possible they can have more ups; the Rockies seem to be able to keep rebounding, even though they aren't that good.

I didn't vote in the primaries cause there were barely even any contested races and I don't know anything about them and chances are I'll just be voting for whoever wins the primary anyway
