| Alpha218 10/27/18 1:26:42 PM #11 | I've noticed a lot of moves the past week have been designed to drain people of their resources Beldum community day - people are going to go all-out on this one because it's a rare pokemon, one of the best ones in gen 3 and the shiny color is awesome. Plus exclusive Meteor Mash makes you want to get tons of candy to evolve to Metagross ASAP before the window expires. Another bonus of this day is all of your egg hatches would be faster. This had the side-effect of clearing out your egg inventory... A few days later - the Pinap berry/Ultra Ball bundle is being removed from the store. Soon after - Spiritomb event announced. Requires you to burn through 108 berries as a step 1 task. The step 2 task requires you to make 108 catches. They set you up to burn tons of resources on community day, then pulled the berry/ball bundles. Forcing you to either spin tons of stops or... pull from all of your gifts. People try to avoid this unless your egg inventory is close to full because otherwise it will just fill it up with near-worthless 7km eggs (the pool is small, and it's very easy to get everything you need from it quickly). Then you have to use up your fast incubators if you want to get them out quickly. It's a fucking set-up. So is the Gengar thing. They want you to waste your raid resources on him. That's why they put a good move and a bad move on it.
