Given how it's selling, obviously not. The fact that it's $50-$60 more than you want to pay for it doesn't make it "$50-$60 overpriced."

...that's exactly what it means.

When sales explode like this, it's a decent indicator of what the price should be. Or rather, the actual optimum is somewhere in the middle.

Considering the Switch has still sold well the rest of the year nah not really. Not yet anyway.

The role-playing veterans at Obsidian are using their Private Division partnership to reunite original Fallout creators Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky for a new game set in a new universe.

It was the opportunity to work with Tim on a new IP that we were creating from scratch again, because we did it on Fallout and Arcanum and those were great experiences and I just missed doing that, says Boyarsky, who most recently worked on Diablo III for Blizzard. I missed working on single-player, in-depth RPGs with a lot of choice, consequence, and reactivity. I like making other types of games, but there is something special about the kind of games we started with Fallout that really appeals to us and speaks to us creatively.

The duo plans to reveal more about the project at a later date, but Cain says If people have liked our previous RPGs they're going to like this one in terms of how we make reactive worlds and especially our style of humor.

I don't think it'll outsell the Wii either. Sure the Switch is going strong now, but thats because Smash Bros. How many Zeldas and Marios are they gonna release on the system? The audience that wants to play those games have most likely purchased by now or will soon and it's still a new system. Smash Bros is a once a system game, Zelda is 1-2 a system, they'll be relying on Mario spinoffs and what not to keep moving systems.

I remember when people said that last year.

Obsidian doesn't do teasers lightly. The logo they're using has a _striking_ similarity to the style used in Fallout. If this is a new Fallout game, I will be fucking so happy.

It's not Fallout. It's a Sci-Fi RPG published by Take Two. Specifically Private Division. They're a new thing that's about trying to fund smaller scale games with AAA quality.

Square-Enix has had some hilarious stories in the last month alone.

They hyped up a Final Fantasy XV stream only for them to announce that most of the DLC will be cancelled

I believe they were working on a Damien Batman game at one point. But this was a couple of years ago now.

Splinter Cell 1 to Chaos Theory looks like an entire new generation leap

Hitman 2 to Blood Money was also on the same generation but I dunno how well the PS2/Xbox version ran. IIRC it held up well

Gears of War 1 to 3 is also a large leap. By the time 3 hits you've got better visuals, a much larger scale and 4 player coop.

Uncharted 1 is just okay. Uncharted 2 is one of the best cinematic shooters of the generation.

Crash Bandicoot 2 is a massive leap from 1 as well.

One thing I give credit to Ubisoft is that they always support new consoles and devices. Pretty much any new initiative really. They were the first major publisher to support Xbox Live. They always give new Nintendo consoles a try no matter how weird they are. They're even supporting VR and Google's new Project Stream by letting beta testers stream Assassin's Creed Odyssey until the end of the year. Look at pretty much any major console or handheld in the last 20-25 years and you'll likely find Ubisoft on it. EA is the complete opposite. Ubisoft are willing to take a risk to expand the industry. I think they're pretty unrivalled for a third party developer in this area.

From what I can tell they consistently publish good to great games but they don't overall seem to get much love on message boards. I wouldn't put them on the same tier as EA or Activision personally. Overall I'd say they're a pretty good publisher and developer. What do you think?

I played through pretty much all of the big quests and the only annoying bug I got was trying to pick up some quest item that somehow spawned under some wood shelf. Somehow managed to get into just the right position to grab it lol

It has 16GB of storage. So it could maybe fit around 30-50 games depending on the size of games you want to store.

If you're getting it to hack it with backups I would wait a little bit just to see how that pans out.

Personally I would get the Oculus so I can use both the Oculus Store and the Steam store without a third party program. But they're owned by Facebook so it depends how you feel about that as well.

Don't get PSVR for PC. It's a hassle.

Oculus is a safe bet. A good middle ground. You can use it on both Steam and Oculus Store.

HTC Vive is a more expensive option but I believe it's the most popular one? You can still use it on the Oculus Store using a program called ReVive.

There's also Windows Mixed Reality which a lot of people overlook. I have a HP headset. The upside is you can find headsets for incredibly cheap. The screens as far as I know are still of similar quality too and the controllers are pretty good for what you get. The downside is that it doesn't quite have full body tracking. It tracks your hands using a controller in the headset. It works great as long as you are looking at your hands. If they're down by your side or behind your back the controllers won't be tracked. But considering the price difference was hundreds of dollars I think it's worth it. You can still access the Oculus Store using a program Remixed as well. But it does have the least native support in games. So you might have scenarios where you're looking at a Vive or Oculus controller in the game.
