Here we had 3 lane roads that turned into 1 lane (with a reserved bus lane, a bicycle lane and a little extra space to protect the bicycles). In rush hour it creates god awful jams that werent there before when we had a nice 3 lane road. I know your pain. In my town, our 2 lane road was turned into a 1 lane to accommodate bikes.
