Don't worry, I don't have that high of an upper register and it never even crossed my mind.

My cousin used to sing karaoke. He liked Every Rose Has Its Thorn by Poison, but he wasn't able to hit the upper octaves like he used to. Instead, he'd just sing a milder version and limit his range to something he could handle.

It's worth it to listen to some songs before you try to sing them. I tried to sing The Mayor of Simpleton by XTC, but I forgot entire segments of the song and lost the rhythm and timing at the end. I wound up walking off the stage. I don't think anyone there was sober enough to care, but it was something worth remembering if there's a next time.

Probably not. I don't really need anything right now, one of the deals I wanted has already gone live ($40 PS Plus at Best Buy, also available from PSN store), and I don't expect the other deal I want to happen.

You remember that episode of Captain N: The Game Master where everyone was in Mega Man's world and they were low on life and they all got killed because one of the giant boot robots jumped on them (cut to commercial)? Yeah, they came back because Mega Man gets multiple lives in his games, but it's still pretty horrific to think back on it.

This was well before X, so it doesn't really pertain to anything here.

Strategies and puzzle solutions. GameFAQs wasn't quite as robust as it is now, and YouTube wasn't even a thing.

I used to buy guides all the time. I think the last one I bought was for either Skyrim or GTA V.

I'm in a situation.

I live with my parents (and I'm way too old for that), as well as my sister and her kids. I've been saving money for over a year to make a down payment on something or another. I still don't have enough to make a reasonable payment.

I also have a lot of debt. I've got a credit card I've been paying down, and I've got student loans that are coming due.

I've been dividing my paychecks so that I put $100 towards my home savings ($200/month), $300 towards my student loans ($600/month), and the remainder towards my credit card. I figure that my student loans will run about $600/month when they're all going (sometime in January), but until last paycheck I've been setting aside a bit for the loans that are due and throwing the rest at the non-capitalized interest.

Last paycheck, I started wondering if it was the best use of my money to just throw the available money at the student loan interest and thought that maybe I should use it to attack my credit card or boost my finances so I can get a home. I sat on the money in indecision, and now it's this paycheck.

There was also an incident with my sister, in addition to her being a horrible person in general. I have a bad feeling that something is going to happen if I don't move out soon. Maybe it's paranoia.

I've played with the numbers, but I'm not really sure which way to go with this. I've provided some options in a poll. What would any of you do with the money if you were in my situation? (PS: Don't ever get in my situation.)

They've got a mountain of old games they could release in a few different compilations. It would probably cost less to translate/clean up old translations, emulate the lot, and toss them on digital distribution than it would cost to do another massive game, and it would probably bring in some much needed funds.

Abstain. I don't care for Amouranth, and I've never gone for Liv Tyler. I hated when the entertainment biz tried to push her on us, ugh. It was like that with Kate Hudson, too.

At least with this tiebreaker I know who the people are with no taste who keep voting for Amouranth.

Sylvando was the most fun story-wise, and I used him in my travelling (non-boss) party.

I wanted to like Jade, and she wound up being useful in combat, but how am I supposed to take someone seriously as a fighter when the moment you beat her up roughly a third of her abilities have something to do with sex appeal? I can have her using Multifeet one round and hugging her boobs with a puff puff the next. It led to some cognitive dissonance, for sure.

Veronica and Serena went in my boss fighting party, as did "other", and Rab only came out on rare occasions when I needed a specific ability.

I don't know. Is there any chance Rosario Dawson manages to win today's Babe Brawl? People I've never seen post who have accounts as old (or even older) than mine are voting for her competition.

I also used to mistake King K. Rool for King R. Kool. I'm not sure what that was about.

I'm told we had a fair few of them. My decision to purchase baggies of Veggie Chips as well as candy went over well with parents with very young children. I wouldn't know, I was laid up in bed because of medical reasons. Sad I couldn't join in the fun, but glad so many kids had fun tonight.

I wish I could come up with some obscure gem to make myself look clever, but no. This game.

It's cool. Once you get over the heartbreak of losing during the first round, you can vote without trying to strategize. It makes it much less stressful.

I go to various salons. Lately, it's been Great Clips. I get #3 clippers all over, no sideburns, straight in the back. I could theoretically do that myself, but I don't trust myself to do an even cut.

I'm not upset or anything (my bracket is already busted), but I'm surprised she's done so well. I didn't expect any of the Tales characters to get that kind of traction.

I had Monika going all the way because, frankly, I thought it was amusing. At least she's gone in round 1 so I don't have any of that pesky hope the rest of the way.

I couldn't get into Witcher 3. I gave it a shot, I played through the first area past the prologue, but it never really clicked with me and now it's just sitting on my hard drive with a bunch of other games in my backlog.

I've been playing Dragon Quest XI, though. I think that's nearly done, and right on time for RDR, which in turn is right on time from when I'll be recovering from anesthesia.

I'm not expecting it, but Monika is still my top pick. I went for a gimmick this year.

The only reason I'm sitting where I am is because I'm saving to make a down payment on a home. It's still not enough for where I want to live, but I'm getting there.

I went with Aerittttthhhhhhhhh (I still hate that), but if Waluigi wins and takes the entire contest then I'll be amused enough to consider it worth losing hard.

Yeah, the camera makes enemies more manageable. It doesn't make them harmless, though, so feel free to max out anyone and everyone who poses a threat.

I went with a gimmick bracket this year with Monika on top. I'm not expecting miracles.

Probably, but I'm not about to put a ton of time and effort into trying to come up with a winning bracket when I know full well I'm not going to win. Better to have a gimmick than a migraine.

I didn't make any honest effort to rally anyone. I tried going Asuka from Senran Kagura and Audrey from Hunie Pop, but neither got in. I also tossed in the probably one and only vote for Jumpman from the Jumpman games, but I'm likely one of the very few people here old enough to remember him.

I tried. I wanted to get lady characters into this, just something to change things up, but you can see from the bracket that I was unsuccessful.

Oh well. I'm voting for Monika.

That's a tall order. You'd need a 2/3 majority vote in the House, and you'd need something to nab him on (preferably while he is in office). I'm pretty sure you're not going to have THAT much of a shift to the Democrats in the midterms.

That's how it goes, doesn't it? The unemployment period sucks, but if you wind up someplace better then you appreciate the new opportunity that much more.

Fired once. The short version (the one the agency wants everyone to hear) is that I overreacted to an email from my manager and said some horrible stuff. There's a longer version that involves the manager being horribly controlling and manipulative, the director being corrupt, and the outgoing HR person effectively trying to cover it up and get me off the books, but somebody is just going to say, "Fair, next."

I've finally made it to Part 2. I've just reunited with Sylvando. What gets me is not the over the top flamboyance, not the costumes, but the fact that the main character not only doesn't question the new outfit but gleefully goes along with it. Up with the knees, big waves, and still dancing when he's not moving. It just makes me smile.
