Comedy is basically the most social interest I have with the greatest chance of meeting women. I certainly feel it has limitations in that regard, but idk. I have gotten women to compliment my act a few times, but it has always been a girl with a date. Again, performing comedy helps me feel more confident and comfortable with myself. That seems a lot more important than meeting women.

It's kind of stupid to just do things for the purpose of meeting women

I can only tell you what happening right now with my younger brother who found an online woman.
He's always been but now at 29 gone full desperate crazy. He's "not complete" until he has a woman and a family he's always said. Well he found a like minded woman. Both are desperate to be hitched by 30.

This *redacted* can't even respond when told "hello" by my other brother. She's just a true b in the truest sense of that word. Terrible person. Now she's showing up and doing chores like the dishes at my mom's house. And it's like Red Alert! Danger! Danger! You know what that is. She has her eyes set on moving in with him in my mom's house. That's what that is. Not being nice or anything. There's been stories exactly like this one playing out right now that have happened to other idiot men in my extended family. Some fresh from or not far removed from the third world girl comes out of nowhere, gets her hooks in the guy and then immediately sets her sights on the family home.
And a couple of those times these hussies have gotten in there because the mother is spineless and folds for whatever sob story they concoct. And all the family pays the price with the living hell they turned the home life into. Both of those occasions it took the mother having to go through legale avenues to evict her and their own sons. It's ugly. And damnit if it doesn't look like this is where this scenario is headed.

Damn that is pretty extreme. Seems like more dudes are willing to settle, but this scenario sounds made up if it wasn't so detailed.

I can say that throughout my (limited) amount of dating, I've never felt it necessary to have a backup for the purpose of my own safety.

I always let someone know where I'm going when I meet a person through online dating. Doesn't matter if it is a guy or girl I'm meeting. I always meet in a public place like a bar, restaurant, or coffee shop. I don't do it, because I live in feat. It just seems like a safe precaution to take. I would never invite someone I've never met in person before to my own residence.

Meeting an online date in a public place and letting friends know where you are should be standard for everyone. Catfishing and other weird stuff is always a possibility. Typically I try to friend them on social media before meeting so I know they're a real person.

Healthcare workers. Look for nurses or other healthcare professionals. They keep the oddest of hours, so you'll have that in common, and some of them clean up damn good.

Because it's so "rigged" for guys, fuckboys are craftier than ever in their approach. They play the perfect gentleman right up until they get what they want (sex), and then drop it faster than a hot potato. At this point the game is rigged in the man's favour.

The issue here isn't that women struggle to get dates. No one is going to argue that: of course women have it easier to get that initial date. What they struggle with more is finding someone who wants to stick around after sex.

What is your point? I go to Comedy clubs, because I love comedy. Meeting women is far from my reason for attending. I want to get better at doing stand up comedy first and foremost. Occasionally I get opportunities to speak with women there, but not often. You tend to see a lot of couples there. Rarely are women present at those sorts of things without a date, but it still does happen.

Who said they were? Some people arent good on camera. Some people get stage fright. And some people cant make dating profiles. I see too many women in the later. Too many women who give minimum effort in responses because they have TOO much choice.

They have no control mechanism. They have no reason to assume they need to try. Because they dont. You cant criticize them for something that works.

How do we solve this? If I judge a woman by her profile then all women are eliminated. Pictures generally display an acceptable woman. Hard to gauge if it is a good match unless we talk. Need to match up so we can talk. Hard to justify putting in too much effort into opener, because so many accounts are inactive. Best bet is to devise some sort of unique opener you use on everyone. The whole game is based on casting a wide net.

Hard for me to get all picky about a woman's appearance, because I know that only matters so much. As long as they aren't super overweight and/or ugly then I'm open to speaking with them. I've been on numerous first dates where I try to get her to talk about herself and it is super generic stuff. Half of these women even admit they're boring to my face and all I can do is nod. I don't think I'm the most adventurous person in the world, but most women make me feel like I just got done backpacking through Europe.

If only I change and no one else does then I get nowhere.

Only success I've had is performing comedy at open mics. I'll usually get a girl or two to quick complement my act, but it is always a girl with a date. This stuff is just downright depressing.

At least I do get a lot of enjoyment out of doing stand up among my other hobbies.

Men have to learn VERY fast what to say and how to prevent themselves.

I see girls with profiles with nothing but group photos (I can never discover who the actual chick is), terrible selfies (Isnt this what you women do all day?), and no or one fragment (not sentence) bios.

I cant criticize them because they clearly get mountainous amounts of messages.

But this stupidity and lack of pride from men ruins it for everybody. Women dont know whats shit about themselves or their presentation, thirsty dudes still are thirsty while men who try cant compete with the sheer quantity of thirst and look elsewhere.

I do date men too. It really isn't that much better. A lot of gay dudes act a lot like straight girls. I'm into more masculine men and it seems the majority say "yasss queen."

It isn't about hating women. Dating prospects in general are bad. The majority are losing in the online dating game. Do you seriously think straight women have no complaints?

It seems cheaper to just let the homeless beg for money on the streets than to pretend that I care about them. I can just blame their lack of bootstraps and take greater pride in my own abilities.

I can't imagine one single benefit to the rest of society that could arise from a reduction in homelessness. Their lack of bootstrap doesn't stop me or anyone else going all sorts of bootstraps on the world.

Low level physical assault. Not that the store employees are allowed to be physical with a thief to prevent theft anyways. I guess they could stand in the thief's way and put them in a position where the only way to leave is to push them.

Yeah this isn't nearly as hard to do as people are making it out to be. You can fairly easily steal from places like Chipotle and Subway. The reality is the vast majority of people are honest and decent so they wouldn't consider such a thing. Instead, they feel the manager being racist is the real problem.

The dine and dashers should be identified and banned from chipotle's nationwide. Hard to enforce, but it is about all the company can real do beyond handing this over to law enforcement.

I do feel like SNL is on a downward trend though. Pete Davidson is awful and they keep giving him more and more screen time. Vanessa Bayer and Bobby Moynihan were their two best and they left recently. Kate McKinnon is easily the best one on the show. Heidi Gardner is getting more screen time and I hope she progresses into one of the top performers.

Their political skits tend to do pretty well, but a lot of other stuff is awful. I really hate when they depend on random celebrity cameos for a cheap cheer from the audience.

Sometimes I feel more cringe watching SNL than I do going to my weekly open mics.

Seriously, it is remarkable how many jokes they tell that absolutely bomb for the live audience.

Biggest problem is easily Pete Davidson. He is the worst cast member by huge margin. They keep trying to force him down everyone's throats and cater sketches to his extremely specific range of being a lazy stoner type. All o the comments they made about him dating Arianna Grande was so full of cringe.
