Just watched Gridman episode 4. That was pretty good. Got some Rikka thighs, Akane feet and even a Super Dengeki Kick.

Oh baby, we hooked another one! But yeah, if you like Kamen Rider, Power Rangers, and similar shows, you'll like Precure. Obviously if you like magical girls, you'll like Precure. But if you like both, then you'll love Precure. If you do decide to get into the series, there are a few different entry points you could go with:

1) Start with the original series that began the franchise: Futari Wa Precure
2) Start following the currently airing series as it airs: Hugtto, or wait for Star Twinkle next year
3) Start with one of the "big three" most popular series in the franchise: either Heartcatch, Smile (also dubbed as Glitter Force), or Go Princess
4) Just look at a picture with all of the different Precure casts in it and pick a series based on which designs you like the most

Remember: besides Hugtto (after everything it's done to break the mold), every Precure series is a stand-alone story that can be watched in isolation without seeing any of the others. Only two of the series (Maho Girls and Kira Kira) are what I would consider "bad" entry points because they did away with one of Precure's most popular features, which is the martial arts combat. They're not necessarily bad shows, and they have their own charm, but they're not good representations of the Precure franchise as a whole.

I think I'm gonna start with the original lol.

I don't watch Kamen Rider myself, but yeah, I've noticed a good amount of overlap in the fanbases of all the major Toei franchises.

As for your idea of a super Precure that could combine the powers of all the others... some fans are already speculating that Hugtan might become that at the end of Hugtto. I mean, even in her current baby form, she has enough magical power to summon Precure from entirely different worlds. If they find a way to get her back to her true form (she lost a lot of her power and was de-aged when she and Harry pulled a Future Trunks and escaped back in time from a ruined future), Hugtan could potentially approach reality-bending levels of power. If that is the grand finale that Hugtto has planned... my god...

Sounds pretty awesome. I'll be happy for you if that happens. I'm already looking forward to Tsukasa/Kamen Rider Decade coming back in Kamen Rider Zi-O myself.

Oh nice. Yeah Kamen Rider and Precure fans can overlap. They're also in the Kamen Rider /m/ threads. Sometimes Precure leaks there lol.

Also it makes me wanna ask you something. Kamen Rider Decade is one of my most favourite Kamen Riders. Not only does he have a cool design but he can transform into previous Kamen Riders, and he has one of the best Rider belts. What would you think of a Precure character that can transform into and use the powers of the previous ones like how Decade can?

I wanna add that Precure and Super Sentai aren't the only Toei Super Hero Time shows that do massive crossovers. Kamen Rider is another one.

I had my own moment similar to Cal's 8 years ago when every main Kamen Rider teamed up in Kamen Rider Decade. Since then they continued to crossover in following episodes, movies and specials, including the currrent series since it's another decade show

Watched Gridman episode 2

(spoilers)

So

It turns out Akane is female Takeshi (from the original series) after all.

Such an awesome episode. I love the way Gridman said "yo". Why is he so cute. I love Greenriver's voice.

I'm thinking the samurai guy and the rest of the suit people might also be Hyper Agents like Gridman. Obviously his allies. And it seems going by how samurai turns into the Gridman Calibur, the rest of the suit people turn into the support mecha. Man, I'm loving this show. I really hope this is a sequel to the original show. I'm looking forward to more!

I can relate to your experience pretty well TC. Mine was a crush that almost materialized into a full fledged relationship but then didn't for whatever reason. It ended up with a lot of drama and discomfort on both sides. The feelings were super intense and I wanted it to be a thing so badly, but in the end I didn't really get any sort of real closure and didn't know why any of it happened in the first place so it was like an open wound.

Anyway, for a long time I definitely felt uneasy, even a bit sick when people would bring her up in conversation. Out of sight, out of mind was the best thing for me.

After a couple years I didn't feel like that anymore, I came to peace with it all. I started seeing a new girl and it worked out pretty okay. I'm definitely not proud of myself for getting so invested in what should have been a simple crush, but sometimes your mind just gets hung up on one person and can't reconcile why you can't have them. Unrequited love really sucks, but I think it's good to experience a big pain like that once because it teaches you that those emotions are fleeting and to not take it too seriously.

The big problem I had with this girl is that she was the first girl I ever actually told that I had feelings for and later on asked out (if you could call my uhs and ums asking her out). Was always a coward before in life, never thought anyone I liked had the same feelings, and I'm probably right, so I didn't want to get rejected. This girl was too special to not do anything, so I attempted, and I guess I just feel pretty bad that the one time I try ended as badly as it did. Makes me feel worthless.
