Thats a kinda rude assumption. I would buy the Gucci because people know it. It is a household name. I want to wear something recognizable. People can tell Gucci/LV from a mile away. That is more important to me than a slight increase in quality. You disagree, but that is how I feel.

$500 for shoes isn't an exorbitant amount. My Burberry sneakers were $550.

I just dont wear non-sneakers so I cant justify the price. I would either get some cheap 100 buck ones to get by, or go for super high fashion labels that are like a grand each.

Off-White by Virgil Abloh is gaining insane popularity. There is the classic Gucci and LV stuff too. Balenciaga is a big one as well. I am more of a athletic sneaker person tho as opposed to high fashion and couture.

Oh and Y-3 as well. Probably not the look you are going for but they got some crazy stuff. Futuristic looking sneakers.
