I appreciate the suggestion, but from what I've heard about the show I'll probably hate it. I'm glad that they're apparently doing Joker right though. Maybe someday I'll check it out.

I've seen both, but don't remember much of Red Hood. Got to rewatch it. I remember John DiMaggio as The Joker, who was a little different, but I liked it. TDKR was fantastic. I love it.

I just hate how certain folk just try too hard with the Joker. They seem to take Heath Ledger's Joker and try to make him harder and edgier a lot. Cutting off his own face, banging hookers, looking like a cross between a crappy rapper and a juggalo...ugh just stop.

Batman is still the best Batman movie to me. Michael Keaton was great and Jack Nicholson was awesome.

I miss when The Joker was a killer clown with his gadgets and a goofiness (while still staying scary and dangerous) instead of dark edgelord Joker we get in almost every other adaptation.

Haven't seen Returns in forever so I can't say.

Cause they're idiots who don't know what they're doing. Picking someone like Snyderto do a Superman movie meant the whole thing was doomed from the start. Even if he wasn't a hack, he's still the wrong pick to head a comic book cinematic universe.

I wonder if DC just liked Watchmen. The thing is it's only good (or not complete crap) because he followed the book so close. If he had free reign then God knows how WM would have come out.

In my area you'd get the paddle. Once you got to middle/jr. High school they didn't do that anymore. At our intermediate school (5-6 grades) they even had one with holes in it. This was a little more than 15 years ago.

It seemed to never work though. It was always the same kids that would get a paddling and they never stopped being little shits afterwards.

What type of regulations?

Just saying, if there were regulations proposed by politicians to regulate various industries to stop the use of such hormones, a huge number of them would be against it because they think it'll hurt "job creators" and is regulations are "big government".

Of course that's not everyone, but it's definitely the types who go on about "soy boys" and men being more feminine or being less of a stereotypical masculine man.

I like the story, characters, atmosphere, setting, and overall vibe IV had over V. I liked the more realistic style even if it went a little too far in places. I like V, but it goes too far in the other direction sometimes and it gets too goofy and over the top.

IV just needed a little more variety and more stuff to do and it wouldn't have gotten so much crap it does.

Forget about Batman for a second. Why hasn't anyone gone vigilante and kill him? Could be a cop ("he tried to grab my weapon/I felt in danger", a victim, some citizen pissed off that the multiple mass murderer keeps getting off, etc.

The only way to work out why Batman doesn't do it is that he's a mental case himself, which makes sense really.

How is a company "screwing people over" by not matching government contributions to welfare programs by 100% for everyone they're employing? Like... you can sell me on companies screwing people over, but in this specific instance I don't see the correlation, unless your argument is "companies screw people over in OTHER ways, but rather than fix those let's just do this thing instead"

It's just a response to when people use that argument against regulations in general. I've seen it used against many things that are more direct in screwing people over like pollution, harmful products, tax evasion, predatory tactics, etc.

I never got the "well they will just get around these regulations" argument. So the other option is just letting them screw people/the country over? Alongside regulations, what's needed is an overhaul in our Justice Department so they actually start going after companies breaking the law, but sadly, that's another pipe dream like what Bernie is doing now.
