The Ray, one of DC's best characters, got no real development. And Citizen Cold got his development after the crossover ended. The premise Earth-X required showing, you know, some of Earth-X. The premise of this one is really Flash and Arrow reversing roles.

It SHOULD. That Terminator show shouldve been a weekly serial of the Terminator going back in time to different points in John Connors life and trying to kill him. Then Summer Glau triumphs and every week the police come up with a bizarre explanation to handwave the humanoid robot in an explosive crater.

That would actually be a good setup for Edge of Tomorrow: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

The thing is, I had a really great friend for about year who was forced to move constantly due to his parents' job. He was a humble, quiet, measured kid who absolutely hated his parents for moving but didn't burn down the school because of it.

My problem isn't with Furlong's acting, it is how the writers write him (and many other aspects of the movie) to be 'cool and rad' to the 8 year old boys who probably shouldn't even be watching the film.

I think I'm with you a little bit and with Vis a little bit. I was a kid. I met kids. There were never kids like this kid. There's a cognitive disconnect with his motivations and his actions. It just doesn't resonate for me. And that's what tanked it out of the Top 10. There's brilliance in how Linda Hamilton's character is portrayed, and it really should have been highlighted more instead of given a backseat to bad Kirk Cameron behavior.

Well then friends, let me once again espouse the virtues of watching Impact right now. The writing is genuinely funny quite often, and there are some great, weird storylines. Allie has taken over the role of the Broken Hardys with weird vignettes and kooky, wild storytelling. Fallah Bahh and KM are probably my favorite babyfaces in wrestling right now. Desmond Xavier is a fucking phenomenal wrestler. And with every good talent from Lucha Underground slowly migrating over to this show, the quality of wrestling is generally great. Even the Scarlett Bourdeaux storyline is bad in a fun way. There are a lot of little touches and details that make it just genuinely more entertaining than RAW.

Hell, Don Callis has actually found a way to improve Josh Mathews as a play-by-play guy!

One aspect of Impact that's really great right now is that every character or storyline feels like a unique flavor. LAX is a street gang, and their segments are totally different from the Allie "spooky" horror segments, which are totally different from the slapstick comedy of Fallah Bahh and KM, which is totally different from the grunge punk anarchy of OVE, which is totally different from the traditional storylines you get from John Morrison.... But it all comes together with excellent hybrids because titles matter to everyone, and wins matter to everyone. There's a sense of urgency when characters collide. Even characters who aren't being used in pivotal roles still get character-building segments to give them momentum. Even perennial losers like Katarina still have personality and flavor that make things feel like they matter.

I don't want to imply Impact has the best wrestling in the world or anything, but in terms of storylines, I'm consistently entertained week in and week out by Impact.
