IIRC, one of the issues is that the AI actually does control everything. The Patriots are so entrenched that the AI controls infrastructure on a massive scale. Simply knocking out that control would be catastrophic.

Neither are technically since they both live. Not only does Snake have infinite ammo from Meryl's ending, but at the start of 2 he has the optic camo from Otacon's ending. They basically just took parts of both endings and went with them. I'd say Meryl's is more canon since Otacon doesn't necessarily die in that loe, it's just implied that he might when the bomb the base or whatever.

Is this something TTS changed? The Meryl ending in that one for sure had Snake tell Campbell to send someone after Otacon, so I assume they stopped the bombing.

IIRC, Naomi changed the virus to trigger randomly. It could have activated while he was walking away from Shadow Moses, it could have hit him on the Big Shell, or Snake could die of old age before it ever triggers.

I really hope it's a continuation and not a reboot, but I don't see them bothering with having this one Slayer be one of hundreds in an organization full of them.

I suppose there's always a chance that they'll do a Frey adaptation, but I think the chances of a sci-fi vampire slayer show is even less likely.

The second one, but even then. My point is, does it have to be celebrated when it's in ever facet of every life? It's like me, celebrating a straight male coming out as straight... It's normal. It's sort of dumb to complain about this in a children's/teen's cartoon when that is the exact age group where gay people can often really use someone like themselves being shown as accepted and normal in media.
