I honestly don't get the issue.

"nudes" often implies doing something that ultimately is for the sexual gratification of men. Shots like that are more artistic in style, and ultimately... it is her body. Whatever limits she has for herself on what she shows to others are fine and her choice.

The overall point I am making is that in some cases, those particular people actually aren't uncomfortable with nudity they are just very selective with who they are willing to do it with and who the audience will be. That's perfectly fine of course.

My question was, if you're already posting a fully nude image where your breasts and areolas are visible, and even part of the nipple, what makes it uncomfortable about the full nipple being seen? Should the nipple automatically be perceived in a sexual gratification context? Again, that's their decision, I am just curious about the reasoning.

Maybe I am thinking too much about it for no reason, and I myself have worked with many models who "don't do nudes" but pose nude for me, but I notice this quite a bit.

Like I said, it's hard for people not in those sorts of situations to understand what drives someone to make a choice like that. Mental illness, crime, poverty, a history of abuse, violence, PTSD, becoming addicted through prescribed medications that are later cut off, extreme family issues, extreme life pressure. The list goes on and on, and it might seem like all of it boils down to 'life is hard', but most of us have been given a better chance and can't even imagine how bad life can get, so it's really naive for us to believe that it's always just a simple choice.

And again, there are situations where you are not forced, but still aren't really addicts faults. For example, the OxyContin crisis began because doctors were incentivized to prescribe highly addictive painkillers which warped the users brains and then cut them off, at which point the people were already addicted.

i never said it was simple, but its still a bad choice that was preventable, and could be stopped at a few points before it was too late

no one is glorifying them (no one thinks its a good/right decision for them)

they just don't feel bad for the "victims"

The problem is using the fact that women like Candy Crush to decide how to create and market Call of Duty.

It actually is very important to the question at hand. Why should console games, which are likely male dominant, have 50% female protagonists, if that's not who the consumers are?

If the consumers of story-driven console games are men who want to play games as men, then why should they not get what they are spending their money for in order to satisfy a political preference?

well, have males said that they prefer having the great majority of characters be male? (or female?) I also dont think it said "story driven console games" in terms of the breakdown.

I personally think it's good to have some balance, and have both men and women in all sorts of roles (i.e. women =/= eye candy). It's good to have variety, because that imitates real life.

so here's the thing:

a monopoly is bad for people if it drives up prices and has no competition.

these don't have competition not because they prevent others from competing (and then can drive prices up without competitors), but instead because they drive DOWN prices.

This type of monopoly doesn't hurt the consumer. They are getting the customer stuff for cheaper, which is generally good for them (not so good for poor Chinese kids though...)

If they began to drive up prices (or only sold inferior products), you'd best believe that people would take them on and steal their customers. They win because they can offer the best deal. This kills off competition but ultimately isn't hurting the customers at all (and in fact, customers LOVE it).
