yeah, I guess so, since 2-4 is just so much meatier. a lot of 2-2 Pearl is just her presence as a witness vs. just being a partner which is where you get the meat from. though even with that, 2-4 Pearl is really just there as an emotional string for the Maya plot, and to induce Mia. I don't know how I feel about Pearl.

I think 2-2 has the most Maya and Pearl but Leonhart can verify that with data.

Pearl is.. she's just there as a complete Maya replacement, which is odd when Maya doesn't have some kind of tragedy striking her. her biggest roles, probably in order, are 2-2, 2-4, 3-5, 5-6, 5-5, 3-2, 2-3, 3-3? I think that says a lot.

the bikini lock, the earthquake, the five locks, Godot shutting down Franziska, Pearl's lock.. yeah, day 2 is great. probably not as good as 2-4 day 2 though just because the big moments of that case take place there, whereas the big moments of 3-5 are in trial day 2.

I finally got around to playing this little mini-episode. I had two main thoughts:

1. I feel like this shouldn't exist. like, I kinda feel like filling in these gaps and having to answer questions knowing where this would all go was uncomfortable. I'm sure that's the intention, but I dunno. something retcon-y about it just doesn't sit totally right with me.

2. I'm more convinced than ever that sacrificing arcadia bay is the right decision.

I just looked at Griffin/Harris and it looks like they're more or less a push since the trade. Griffin has 20/7/6 with a 17.0 PER/.514 TS% and Harris with 20/7/3 with a 18.8 PER/.571 TS%. plus who can mess with all-world efficiency machine BOBAN. Clippers look like they made out just fine for what was widely perceived as a salary dump.
