SeabassDebeste posted... but hearing it in the character's voice is better because the character's opinions can be subject to biases. So there is something to be gained then by a narrator technique (no bias). --- |

The narrator is instead telling us how she feels about it. It's a fundamentally removed perspective. I agree, but that doesn't make it bad. I think it's intentional and works in this point of the story. We're following a shit ton of characters now, so he's taking a bird's eye view of the situation, moving a camera around the various conflicts. I think that's why it feels "epic" in a way personal viewpoints don't as easily. --- |
