Now the company behind PUBG is taking Fortnites creators to court. PUBG (the company), a subsidiary of Bluehole (the company behind PUBG, the game slightly confusing, I know), has filed a suit against Epic Games over copyright infringement concerns. The South Korean suit, noted by The Korea Times, takes particular issue with Fortnites battle royale mode.

Bluehole has been vocal about the similarities since the new mode was released in September. The developer released a statement at the time, addressing growing concerns with its former partner.

After listening to the growing feedback from our community and reviewing the gameplay for ourselves, the developer wrote, we are concerned that Fortnite may be replicating the experience for which PUBG is known.

PUBGs popularity has been declining since the beginning of this year, while Fortnite has continued to pick up steam. Last week, Epic announced that it would be investing $100 million into eSports competitions over the next two years.

Epic declined offer a comment for this story.

This is something I've been thinking about and I don't have any proof of this. I've been thinking about the concept of "Purchasing Power" lately. I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. That purchasing power is shifting rapidly. Traditionally, White males held the majority of the purchasing power. It's been like that since the birth of the US.

However, things are changing. It seems that minorities are greatly increasing their purchasing power over time. Not only that.. Women purchasing power may actually be increasing at an even higher rate than minorities. The white male is quickly losing that power. Plus, the baby boomer generation is coming to an end as well.

The combinations of these things are changing how the US does things. People are complaining about the SJW influence when companies are realizing what's happening and are catering to the future leaders of purchasing power.

One more thing... don't forget that the Millennials are also becoming the leaders in the work force. Most Millennials care greatly about social justice no matter the race/gender/religion/etc. So even the white males that are milennials side with the ideology of minorities.

Combining all of those things.. The US will be VERY different in the next Decade or so compared to even right now.

I mean there's definitely a connection between them, but I think there's a big difference between the people who lived as actual slaves and the people who were born and raised in the 30s/40s/50s. A big difference in terms of living conditions / opportunities.

Also you should've made a distinction between black people who were born in America and black people who immigrated to America, being that black immigrants tend to do quite well in America per @Omega_Hunter post.

So we agree. Blacks today were effected by slavery in some way. Every generation greatly reduces the effect of how slavery effects their lives but it's there. It's to the point now where you can overcome the disadvantages so it's not a real excuse but the disadvantages are there.

Video of the early morning January 26 incident outside a Walgreens shows a routine stop escalating into a testy confrontation in a matter of seconds.

In the video, an officer meets Brown at his driver's side door after he walks out of the store. The officer fires off questions and orders one after another as Brown tries to get a word in.
He asks for Brown's driver's license and demands to know why he parked his car across some handicapped spots.

"You don't see any issue here?" the officer asks.

He repeatedly orders Brown to back up, telling him he's getting in his face, as Brown tells him not to touch him.

Barely a minute has passed when the officer calls for an extra squad car.

At least three cars more are seen arriving on the footage. The officer walks up to them and says he only wanted one extra patrol. He also tells one of his colleagues that Brown was getting in his face.
At least one car leaves and others stay. Multiple officers gather around Brown at his car and ask him questions. At one point, an officer yells at Brown to take his hands out of his pockets, and Brown says he has "stuff" in his pocket.
Other officers grab the athlete and pull him to the ground, before he is tased.

Despite the suspicions about his ties to Russian money laundering, Torshin continued to travel frequently to the United States and even showed up as part of a Russian delegation in February 2017 to the National Prayer Breakfast, where he was at one point scheduled to meet with President Trump. (The meeting was canceled the night before, after National Security Council officials raised concerns about it.) More recently, Oregon Sen. Ron Wyden sent multiple letters to the NRA asking about its ties to Torshin and other Russian figures, questioning whether Russian money was funneled to the NRA to help pay for the more than $30 million the group spent on political ads and get out the vote efforts during the 2016 election.

An NRA lawyer, in responses to Wyden, said that Torshin has only paid his membership dues to the group and that, based on an internal review, the NRA received a total of only $2,500 from about 23 Russia-linked contributors since 2015. However, the NRA is now reviewing its relationship with Torshin in light of the Treasury Department blacklisting him last month. Based on Mr. Torshins listing as a specially designated national as of April 6, we are currently reviewing our responsibilities with respect to him, NRA general counsel John Frazer wrote to Wyden.

An NRA spokesman did not respond to a request for comment.

The FBI has obtained secret wiretaps collected by Spanish police of conversations involving Alexander Torshin, a deputy governor of Russias Central Bank who has forged close ties with U.S. lawmakers and the National Rifle Association, that led to a meeting with Donald Trump Jr. during the gun lobbys annual convention in Louisville, Ky., in May 2016, a top Spanish prosecutor said Friday.

Jos Grinda, who has spearheaded investigations into Spanish organized crime, said that bureau officials in recent months requested and were provided transcripts of wiretapped conversations between Torshin and Alexander Romanov, a convicted Russian money launderer. On the wiretaps, Romanov refers to Torshin as El Padrino, the godfather.

Just a few months ago, the wiretaps of these telephone conversations were given to the FBI, Grinda said in response to a question from Yahoo News during a talk he gave at the Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank in Washington. Asked if he was concerned about Torshins meetings with Donald Trump Jr. and other American political figures, Grinda replied: Mr. Trumps son should be concerned.

The comments by Grinda were the first clear sign that the FBI may be investigating Torshin, possibly as a part of special counsel Robert Muellers probe into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Torshin a close political ally of Vladimir Putin had multiple contacts with conservative activists in the United States during the election, seeking to set up a summit between the Russian president and then candidate Trump. Although the summit never transpired, Torshin did meet briefly with the presidents son at a private dinner in Louisville during the May 2016 annual convention of the NRA. A member of the NRA since 2012, Torshin has been a regular attendee of the groups conventions in recent years and hosted senior members of the group in Moscow.

Grinda said that the FBI, in its request for the evidence to the Guardia Civil, the Spanish National Police, provided no explanation as to why it was interested in the material and he didnt ask for one. I dont have to ask them why they want this information, he said. But Grinda added that if Mueller or any other U.S. prosecutor seeks to use the material as part of a court case, they would have to make a second, more formal request to do so to the Spanish government.

Spokesmen for the FBI and Muellers office did not respond to requests for comment. Alan Futerfas, a lawyer for Trump Jr., said he was in a meeting and was unable to comment when contacted by Yahoo News.

Torshin has been the subject of intensifying U.S. government and congressional scrutiny over the past year and was recently among a lengthy list of oligarchs and Russian political figures sanctioned by the Treasury Department. As reported by Yahoo News and the Spanish newspaper El Pas last year, the Spanish National Police were preparing to arrest Torshin in August 2013, when he was expected to fly to the Spanish island of Mallorca in August for the birthday party of Romanov. The arrest plan, which involved the deployment of more than a dozen police officers at the airport and at the hotel where the party was supposed to take place, grew out of a lengthy investigation headed by Grinda into Russian organized crime and money laundering. As part of the probe, the Guardia Civil wiretapped Romanovs phone and picked up 33 conversations with Torshin.

But Torshin never showed up for the party and he was never arrested. Grinda confirmed in an interview after his talk that some in the Guardia Civil suspected that Torshin had been tipped off to the arrest plan by Russian officials who had been asked to cooperate in the Spanish probe. But Grinda added that he was unable to prove that was why Torshin never showed up for the party.

I could technically buy a long Ethernet cable to link up but my parents won't be happy with a long ass cord going across the house so that's a no go. My parents also have a lot of clutter in the room I currently game in so setting up a dedicated area for a PC isn't possible.

If you don't mind paying more for the electricity bill, then check out powerline adapters.

PS4 is out of the question. I play on Xbox because of my friends. I want to play on PC because of the experience and some of my friends were also talking about migrating. Going to PS4 feels pointless in comparison.

Here is my delima. I'm an Xbox owner and I'm ready to upgrade. I decided on buying a PC in the summer that's really solid. It would be my first time diving into PC gaming. That was a difficult decision since I have tons of friends on Xbox I have played with for a decade and I won't know anyone on PC. However, things have changed.

I use to live in an apartment with my younger brother. We both moved back to my parents house. Why? Because they are about to retire. Once they do, they will move out and my brother and I will own the house once we do all the paperwork. That isn't going to happen until the end of the year.

So... I don't really have a dedicated area to set up a PC. Plus, I'm unable to hardwire my Xbox, let alone a PC. I don't have the freedom yet to maneuver things around to make that possible.

So I'm thinking that getting the Xbox One X now is the better option and grab a PC next year when I have the freedom to actually set up how I want to. Thoughts?

Rachel Dolezal, the former president of NAACPs Spokane, Washington, chapter who was outed as a white woman pretending to be black, is facing felony charges of welfare fraud, perjury and false verification for public assistance.

NBC News affiliate KHQ-TV was the first to report on the charges made this week against Dolezal. KREM 2, a CBS news affiliate, later confirmed the charges with the Spokane County prosecutors office. If convicted, Dolezal could face up to 15 years in prison.

Dolezal came to national attention in 2015 after her family revealed shed been presenting herself as a black woman for years, even though they said she was born white. At the time, Dolezal was president of the Spokane chapter of the NAACP and worked as a part-time instructor of Africana studies at Eastern Washington University.

The revelation forced Dolezal to resign from the NAACP. She also stopped teaching at EWU. In 2016, Dolezal, a mother of three, officially changed her name to Nkechi Diallo, though she still uses her former name on her art website and social media pages.

Washington states Department of Social and Health Services began investigating Dolezal in March 2017 after learning that Dolezal, who was receiving public assistance from the department, had published a book.

The investigator found that Dolezals book publisher typically offers contracts that include payments of $10,000 to $20,000 but a review of her records revealed that shed only reported an income of $300 per month in the form of gifts from friends, according to court documents published by KHQ-TV.

The Spokane County prosecutors office accused Dolezal of being overpaid a total of $8,847 for food assistance and child care assistance from the states Department of Social and Health Services between Aug. 1, 2015, and Nov. 30, 2017.

During that period, according to the investigation, an estimated $83,924.96 had been deposited into Dolezals bank account in monthly installments.

Despite the controversy surrounding her racial fabrication, Dolezal still identifies as a black woman. She wrote about her experience in an autobiography, In Full Color: Finding My Place in a Black and White World, and was featured in a Netflix documentary this year.

Critics have taken particular exception to Dolezals widespread media exposure in light of the ongoingracialinjusticesthatblackAmericansexperienceday-to-day.
