I think it's possible to get a working grasp of the kana within a week, at least the Hiragana (katakana I will admit is more difficult cuz some stuff looks so similar) There are some good resources online that let you quickly remember the difference symbols, and plenty of charts or gifs for stroke order. Once you get a basic grasp and can tell them apart, practice and further exploration of the language will cement them. I'd love to get fluent in Japanese but my high school course load is rigorous and I already take Spanish --- |

I also don't mean when a shonen has a villain blacked out at first and then colors them in after their reveal, but substantial changes, either meaningful or having serious wow factor. One example of the latter is End of The World from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. This one's really clever because it's technically the exact same OP, except now you see an extra bit that would normally be impossible for someone to observe, this being  Another example is from the anime Erased. In this one the main character has a power that causes his mind to go back in time to his childhood to help him save a girl's life. Spoilers:  I don't love the dub but lyrics aren't important --- |
