Some of the chambers were absolutely beautiful, especially by the entrance - running water, moss and various cave plants and fungi, walls glistening with moisture, etc. Also, if you ever find yourself in a cave for some reason, don't drink any of the water no matter how clear it looks. Chances are it's contaminated either by coming from deep within the cave from an unknown source, or by environmental contamination/pollution that seeped in over the years through rainwater. At the very minimum it's probably full of funky minerals and single-celled organisms lol |

Even though the cave was probably ranked as "easy mode", there were still freaky parts like drops of unknown distance, slogging through mud, or claustrophobic situations. Example: once we hit an antechamber pretty deep into it, the guide was like "WHO WANTS TO TRY THE BIRTH CANAL?" It was a long tunnel you had to crawl through single file, with no way to back up or even turn your head. I declined and hung out in the "waiting room" >_> |
